Fr Lavern Kieber Saw your exchange with Fr Zadora re Rev Lavern Kieber. I'm the parish historian for Sacred Heart of Jesus parish in Bowmansville, NY, where Fr. Kieber served as pastor for the last 21 years of his life.
I'm working on a 100-year history of the parish. Each of us may have information that could benefit the other, as I understand you are/were working on a write-up of his life.
Isaac Namias De Crasto Oops, sorry, it was another De Crasto. This one at the Memorial# 105521863. But the inscription of Mordochay Hisuiau De Crasto (May 5, 1716) does appear in the book I mentioned on those pages.
Mordachay Namias De Crasto Carolyn, I managed to borrow a rather hard-to-find book from the UCLA library, "Precious Stones of the Jews of Curacao, Curacaon Jewry 1656-1957," by I.S. Emmanuel. It had many records and some complete tombstone inscriptions. It has been a very time-consuming process to look at the photographs that RosalieAnn Beasley posted in findagrave two years ago. At that time, I wasn't able to help much, but I have managed to check almost all of them and to find (I hope) the correct names and dates that correspond withthe stones. So the one you were looking for, was there all along, but could not be processed until now. Please see record Memorial# 105521863.
If you are able to find a copy of the aforementioned book somewhere, you could find out more about him, particularly on pp. 229-230.
I wouldn't mind having my own copy, but the only place I saw it for sale was on e-bay at $400!
transfer The transfer is done. My infant son and parents and many other relatives are buried at Sts. Peter and Paul. On one of my trips to Michigan I photographed all the markers and established memorials. So glad you discovered your grandfather. Best wishes with your research.

RE: Robert Kieber All you need to do is ask - but go into the memorial you want, thru the Edit tab, and provide your FindaGrave member. Otherwise you're asking the other person to do all the work of looking up the memorial and your member number. I checked on the memorial and I am not related, and will transfer to you when you go thru the correct procedure.
Frederick Kieber Well a picture came in quick and its Fred Kieber so I changed it to Frederick but note that your date of birth was still off by 30 yrs I'm wondering if there is a generation gap someplace?
