The goal of my FAG entries are to help others searching for their family to find a ancestoral burial and other family information. |
The postings made here basically come from two sources. Most of the postings are from extensive family genealogical records. For those with family connections I have posted bio info that focuses on the person and shared some of their available family info.
The balance of the burial postings are for individuals for which I have no ties. These postings are primarily from cemetery censuses with a added focus on veterans.
Hopefully these postings may help you make a connection.
I appreciate the opportunity that Find A Grave gives everyone to learn and share. If you want to review or add to what is already shown, or discuss posting please contact me.

My sincere appreciation for the information and photo. I am a descendant of her father, Roger Evans, and it has been a long quest for family connections. The photos are wonderful. do you object if I post it on her profile on Ancestry.Com? Best regards, Lynda Fowler in Texas

Thanks to your wonderful work I have learned a lot about my ancestors. I had good information from Encoh on down thanks to my mother. Now thanks to you I am learning more about the family. Never to old to learn.

I've been sending birth and death dates via the "Edit dates" function on the memorials. Next time I'll add them to the text message as well. Which ones are missing such information?

Hi! You're very welcome!
Here is the link!
Jacob and Cordelia Yocum Long are also buried at the Jeremiah Long Cemetery. I am trying to get their memorials put in that album also, but it's taken years to get "hospicenurse ali" to get it corrected, and it still isn't. So I duplicated them, and that's why there are two of them. I will delete my duplicates once the cemetery is corrected for both. Cordelia is a sister to my great great grandmother.
Here is a page with all the Wetzel County, WV cemeteries (supposedly all of them):
As you can tell, there are other "Long" cemeteries.
Have a great day!

Hi! I noticed that your memorial for Jane Jones McCormick Long Rhinehart is in the wrong Long Cemetery. She should be in the Jeremiah Long Cemetery. Per the cemetery listings online, shown here: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~wvwetzel/center/jeremiah_long_cemetery.htm
Here is the link to the Jeremiah Long Cemetery on findagrave: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&GRid=72281525&CRid=2408312&
Would you change the cemetery for Jane? Thanks!
|Kati McSweeney||RE: Horatio Gates Jones Sr. @ Leverington Cemetery|
The Ancestor Hunter 21 JUL 2014 (re: Horatio Gates Jones Sr.): While your memorial has more info on Horatio it duplicates Find A Grave Memorial# 38607904 which was made earlier. Perhaps your info could be added to the original memorial.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention! When I added Horatio's memorial page back in 2010, I searched for him by birth year, and finding no memorial page that way, I added a memorial page for him. I'll try to reach Donna Elliott who posted her memorial page about nine months earlier than me to see if she'll cut & paste the info from my memorial page and add it to hers. Not knowing how soon she'll reply (if at all), I'll wait awhile before deleting my page for Horatio since she's missing pertinent info on hers.

|Sam Lawson||Owen DAVIS' Second Wife|
I promise that this will be the last time I bother ou today...
May I please ask you to add Owen DAVIS' second wife, Hannah JAMES, to his FindaGrave Memorial?
Hannah JAMES was born to Messech and Mary JAMES on 24 March, 1745, in Fayette Co., Pa., and died ca 1810, in Redstone, Fayette Co., Pa. This is whom our descends from (Owen and Hannah (James) DAVIS).
It may be noted on page# 79 of that book, "A HISTORY OF THE SEVENTH DAY BAPTISTS IN WEST VIRGINIA, Including The Woodbridgetown And Salemville Churches In Pennsylvania And The Shrewsbury Church In New Jersey", by Corliss Fitz Randolph, C8035.21, 1905, that it appears that Hannah James Davis became a member of the Woodbridgetown Union Baptist Church, transferring from Mt. Moriah Baptist. Was that because this Woodbridge Church was so much closer to her home, perhaps within walking distance for her? Her husband, Owen, may have become too sick to leave his home; he died nine months later.
I thank you, again, for being so kind as to accomodate Hannah JAMES.
