This monument in Northeast cemetery PA says "God Is Love." It is one of my favorites. |
I am happy to do this work to help the living, the dead and those to come. Sometimes, though, the pain of the losses people have felt just staggers me.
I am very, very grateful to other volunteers who have put up info that has helped me in my ancestry searchs.
If possible, I would grateful if you could leave a flower at my cousin Lt. Edwin Neely who was killed at Normandy as part of the D - Day invasion so that he is remembered.
Find A Grave Memorial# 56648174
It would be a lot to me. It took me awhile to find him.
(I found out some of the pictures I post turn out upside down on some people's computers but not others. I don't understand it at all so I don't know how to fix it but I think it might be something with the IPhone I don't understand.
Write me if something is wrong!)

Thank you. I ran across this prayer in 1965 during a military funeral. I've held on to it ever since. Take care and have a wonderful week. Patrick

Yes, I am Beverly. I am SO GLAD I found you Eileen-how are you? Where are you? What are you doing?
I heard the sledding story all my life also. Imagine my surprise when I found William's (Billy) death certificate and saw scarlet fever as cause of death. I guess we will never know why the sledding story was told or how it came to be. I just know I was always told to be careful when sledding as my dad's brother died while doing it.
I am looking into the family. So many with the same name, Francis, Michael, Patrick and Mary.
I found an Irish Census from 1911 that confuses me; as it lists Patrick and Mary (married) with sons Francis (age 11) with a Mary Tuohy, (17, step-daughter). When did our family come to the US?
I think I have it as my dad, Francis, whose Dad was Francis, whose dad was Patrick, married to a Mary Sullivan. Is that how you understand it?
Also, who are the Beckers? I got a message from a Bob Becker, who said "I think we are in the same generation as my great grandfather was Michael McNamara, son of Patrick McNamara."
My email is firstname.lastname@example.org
Maybe I can figure this all out; and if you have family history would you please share it with me?
When my mother died she left me a lot of photos and I have no idea of who some of these people are.
Take care cousin...talk to you soon.

As long as I know the approximate section, I'll look for it. I still am looking for a couple of relatives in the old section so if I get a nice day, I'll ride out. Your picture gives clues to where it is. I like the hunt. Cheryl
