Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a homemaker. I am married, no children. My hobbies include genealogy among other things. I have other interests also. I volunteer for our library by delivering library materials to people who are homebound. I love to read and play computer games (those that challenge my mind).
I have decided I won't be contributing memorials to FindAGrave. I will, however, correct any that need correcting, so please e-mail me. I will also transfer any memorials to those who request them.
I don't know why there's a statement on my Profile page stating that I'm a photo volunteer. That's not true. I have done a few photos, but am NOT a photo volunteer.
I have been back on F. A. G. for some time now and have been trying to add information from the new Edit column. I'm doing the best I can.
Sometimes I do get Suggest A Correction in the traditional way and that's fine, however, if you DON'T list an e-mail address or LEAVE A PUBLIC MESSAGE statement and I have a question, I can NOT get back to you.
If I can't get back to you, I may not be able to do what's suggested.
NOTE: LEAVING A PUBLIC MESSAGE IS FINE. FOR SOME REASON, THIS IS NOT SHOWN UNDER MY PROFILE.

ON MARCH 18, 2014, MY DEAR BROTHER HARRY J. O'TOOLE, SR. PASSED AWAY. I HAVE ENTERED A MEMORIAL FOR HIM ON THIS SITE AND IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO ADD A REMEMBRANCE, YOU ARE PERFECTLY WELCOME TO DO SO.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

ON MARCH 21, 2015, ANOTHER ONE OF MY BROTHERS PASSED AWAY. MY BROTHER JOHN P. O'Toole, Sr. passed away unexpectedly from heart problems. He went quickly and quietly. You are more than welcome to leave remembrances on his memorial for which I thank you.

ON JULY 18, 2015, ANOTHER MEMBER OF MY FAMILY PASSED AWAY. MY SISTER ANNA WENEY(NEE O'TOOLE) PASSED ON.

JOAN

NOTE; I WANT TO THANK THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE LEFT REMEMBRANCES FOR MY BROTHER HARRY. SOME CONTRIBUTORS DON'T HAVE PUBLIC MESSAGES AND THERE IS NO WAY I CAN ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR KINDNESS.
ALSO, I WON'T BE ADDING NEW MEMORIALS. I WILL BE ADDING TO MY OWN FAMILY, THE O'TOOLES, THE FERROS, AND THE PACITTIS.

RE: Eleanor Walmsley's memorial
Hi Joan,
I really didn't want this to be an issue. My experience has been that when the middle name is not mentioned, and the middle initial matches the maiden name, that is what the initial stands for. I usually assume that to be the case, and nobody has ever called me down for it.
Have a great day,
Richard Wright

RE: Eleanor Walmsley's memorial
People do use their maiden name as their middle initial. But, I must confess I cannot answer your questions.

RE: Frank Corbett memorial
Hi Joan

Thank you for updating the Frank Corbett memorial. Mr. Corbett led a busy and colorful life.

I will be adding tombstone pictures that I took on October 30, 2016 for people buried in Sections L and M in a couple weeks. I am adding new entries and updating others right now.

This is the obituary for Frank Corbett that you can add to the memorial if you wish.

Frank Corbett Obituary
91 on October 19 2004 in Cambridge Ontario Canada his summer residence for the past seventeen years.
Mr. Corbett was born on June 10 1913 in Camden New Jersey and was a graduate of Woodbury High School Class of 1931 where he starred and gained a reputation for his baseball play throughout South Jersey.

Frank was a resident of Runnemede New Jersey for over 60 years and spent winters in Holiday Florida. A spirited and active guy until his death Frank Corbett wanted to live to 100. He was predeceased by his wife Doris Marie Selah Corbett in 1985.

Mr. Corbett played and coached baseball or softball for over 75 years. At the time of his passing he was a player on 'The World Renowned Kids & Kubs Three Quarter Century Softball Club' in St. Petersburg Florida. He played in the 2001 Softball World Series in Salt Lake City and was named to the Softball Hall of Fame in 2003.

In 1932 at the height of the Depression he joined the Federal Government's Civilian Conservation Corps in Florida and played on their ball team for two years while working as a surveyor. In the 30's Frank played semi-pro baseball and at the end of the Depression he took a job at the Philadelphia Naval Base as a shipfitter.

After the war Frank was a debit salesman for Prudential Life Insurance Company with territories in Paulsboro and Glendora. As his sons played he coached and managed many of their teams and became President of the Runnemede Little League. As they grew older and played for Triton High School and in college he became a devoted fan and sports editor for the Civic Press. During this time he also served as a 'bird dog' for local South Jersey baseball talent to a scout for Major League Baseball's Detroit Tigers.

Frank also had a 'green' thumb. He frequented the Hespeler Horticultural Society of Cambridge and maintained vegetable and flower gardens and fruit trees until his death in both Runnemede and Cambridge. He grew and sold his flowers in Runnemede for many years and regularly shared his special Jersey tomatoes with friends and relatives. He was a pioneer in the practice of composting which he claimed as the secret to great tasting vegetables.

In 1978 Frank retired from Prudential and began spending winters in Holiday Florida with his wife Doris of 44 years who passed away in 1985. In Florida he was happy to meet and marry Norma O'Keefe of Cambridge Ontario in 1987 and began spending summers in Canada. Ms. O'Keefe had four sons thus completing Frank's dream of his own baseball team - nine boys.

Frank played for 'Top of the World' Softball Club '55 and over' team well into his 70's. In the mid-1980's in St. Petersburg he joined the World Renowned Kids & Kubs where he played for almost ten seasons and was expecting to start another season a few weeks before his death. Frank's softball career was also the subject of numerous newspaper and magazine articles the last appearing in the Camden Courier-Post on August 31 2004.

What newspaper is the source of her obit? SSDI lists Morrisville as last address which is a long way from U of Pittsburgh's medical facilities in western PA.
