Bio and Links
Bio Photo I started recording the family history in 1997 and it has been on the Internet in some form since 1999. My father's and mother's backgrounds are vastly different. My father's family represented by the surnames: HILL, HANNAN, KENYON, and KANE hail from England and Ireland. Most of the family seemed to settle in Rhode Island, New York, Ohio, and Illinois. Some ultimately ending up in Colorado. My mother was the third generation born in Hawaii and was of Portuguese and Chinese descent. Her father, a teenage stowaway to the Pennsylvania coalmines, was supposedly born near Lisbon. Her maternal grandfather emigrated from Hong Kong to the Kingdom of Hawaii and married a first generation Portuguese Hawaiian, whose parents were from São Miguel, Azores. Variations in spelling aside the surnames of my mother's family are DeCOSTA, LAU, CARVALHO, and DeMATTOS.

RE: Edmond/Edmund Kane
You are welcome. Just out of curiousity, where in the cemetery is he buried?

Virginia
I have been trying to get information from the office at Oak Mound Cemetery for a while now. I finally found out how they keep their records so I can tell them where to look. The information they have is very limited, on a 3 x 5 card but they do have the copies of the original note books. It was interesting trying to find his grave.

Kane family, McCormick Family
I was at Mt Olivet today to take your request pictures. Unfortunately after I received the cemetery print-out, it started to rain heavily. However as a start, buried in the Kane family Lot N Block 103 Section 22 is Julia Kane interred on 12/04/1916; James Kane interred on 06/21/1912; Herbert Kane interred on 01/04/1926; James Kane interred on 12/01/1901 and Herbert Kane interred on 09/04/1904. There are TWO James and TWO Herberts.

McCormick family in Lot S Block 102 Section 22 is Matthew McCormick interred on 02/25/1911; Mary K. McCormick interred on 11/16/1901 and Marcus E. McCormick interred on 12/05/1901.

I will go back in a day or two to get photos for you. Carole Grant
