With the exception of links, POB/POD; I usually DO NOT accept blind edits, so please do not be offended when I request your source.

I appreciate additional info to memorials which I've created/maintain, but PLEASE LIMIT your info. This site is called FIND-A-GRAVE, not "Find The Genealogy History Of...".
I do not feel it at all appropriate to turn a memorial into an entire "genealogy work". Certainly it will be ONE, OF MANY valuable resources for genealogists in their research.

I will not accept "cut & paste" items from Aside from it being PROHIBITED by their website, it's just tacky, tacky, tacky!

For those genealogy novices who like to think every "record" hosted at is correct, THEY ARE NOT, as any seasoned genealogist will attest. For the purpose of this site, I record dates as inscribed on headstones. When presented with the possibility the stone info may be incorrect, I will certainly add a note regarding alternative dates.

Need to contact a contributor who has submitted edits/Info for a memorial I maintain? Cut & Paste the following link, then enter their ID#.

***I DO NOT POST OBITS, post 1922***
Please refer to Find A Grave's rules of use under FAQ, by clicking on "Help with Find A Grave" in the left-side menu.

I will not list a person who does not have a DOD inscribed on their stone, unless I have verified their death. Many people have pre-ordered their cemetery markers for the "inevitable", thus their name and DOB being posted online BEFORE THEY DIE, is a violation to their privacy.

I endeavor to compare NAMES and DATES, so that I don't create an entry for someone previously listed by another variation of their name, so please let me know if I have duplicated a memorial.

NOTE: 99% of the headstone photos I've added are best viewed when "clicked-on".
Headstone photo's may be copied to other sites WITH the proper citation to, but photos of INDIVIDUALS MAY NOT be used on ANY OTHER WEBSITE without my permission.

J. S. Robinette
I will add the cause of death. You know how names are such as Robinette that end in e - some don't use the e. Maybe they did not all use the e. They may also have carved the stone incorrectly. The cemetery index used the e on the end. I don't feel comfortable dropping the last e because my uncle Ray and cousins all used the Robinette spelling. J.S. was of course my Uncle's uncle.

J. S. Robinette
Hi Liz, he is on the online Des Moines Municipal cemetery index, You know they have a lot of the Des Moines burials there - but not all. I have still found some in my Newspaper subscription - that they don't give. He is listed as J. S. and buried in the exact same lot and block with the others. With that date - says interment, but I guess they may have mixed it up and put the death date instead of the interment date. The right age, date, and family plot it has to be him. I accepted your death place edit.
If you do not think it is him, I can list him as J. S. and unlink him though the dates and plot clearly says to me it is him. I can also add additional data such as the accident data if you would like.
I wanted to add all the Robinette's in the cemetery when I was adding Ray G.'s. parents - James and Ida. Ray G. Robinette was my uncle (married Izena Alexander) and I saw a lot of this family was without memorials. I looked in my News paper subscription for obituaries but was not lucky. I have been working on these extended family lines I my tree. I have a couple of pictures of Ray, but they are bad ones. Thank you for the help.

RE: Mamie Kimball Cowart
Hi Liz
In the 1900 census Mamie is listed as the child of Benjamin A and Ida Kimbrel. In the 1960 Benjamin's sir name is spelled Kimbrel, in 1870 it is spelled Kimbrell, he is not in the 1880,1890 nor 1910 census, in 1920 his name is spelled Kimball, he is not in the 1930 census and in 1940 it is spelld Kimball and on his headstone it is spelled Kimball. The members of the family who moved to Pierce County Georgia including my grandmother spelled their last name KIMBRELL but it may that those who remained in Bulloch County spelled it KIMBALL. I assumed the Kimball spelling was just a census taker eror but feel free to change it back to KIMBALL if you wish.
