Hello Maudie, you have asked for photos
of graves in this cemetery. Please note,
that some of the gravestones have been
destroyed, some graves have sunk in &
some are buried under heavy brush.
At this point in time, your requests
can't be granted.

RE: Zilla Bell Slaven Breazeale Cooper
I went back and checked my tree; yes, Thomas Milligan and Mary "Polly" Burke are Zilla's maternal grandparents. I cannot document the Russell part of Celia Frances Russell Milligan. Can you? I cannot document any links beyond Thomas and Mary Milligan either although I know others on Ancestry.com will go much farther. I am trying to keep only documented accounts to my tree - there is too much erroneous/fictitious stuff out there. I would love your Burke information and sources. It would be nice to confirm what I have. Blessings,
Sherri

Zilla Bell Slaven Breazeale Cooper
Hello Maudie,
I was adding photos to my great grandmothers Find a Grave memorial and noticed you had added flowers. I am wondering if you are related and if so how?

Elizabeth Dorsey Photo Request
The family cemetery at Arcadia is inaccessible (for me, at least), and it's questionable what has or has not survived vandalism over the years. I did find a document at howard county library which had a description of the cemetary and a record of all the inscriptions, as documented in 1958-1960. I took a photo of Elizabeth's inscription and added it to her memorial page. I have full page photos of the entire Dorsey Arcadia graveyard I could send along, if desired.

John Dorsey Photo Request
I was able to fulfill the request for Sarah, but not John. The Howard County Library had a catalog of the St. John's Cemetery, which is what I used to find Sarah Dorsey's tombstone, but they had no listing for John T. B. Dorsey. I checked all the Johns, Thomas, etc, but none of them matched the birth/death dates for this record. The grave could be unmarked. If you get more information on the grave location, I could check again.

Re: Photo request for John & Nancy Norris
Hello Maudie,
I cancelled the request for Nancy's grave stone photo, Arroyo Grande Cemetery has no record of her burial. However, there is plot information on her memorial and her full name. I'm going back to the cemetery in a few days and will ask about this & will let you know.

Also, John's memorial gives death date first, birthdate second. AG cemetery manager said no Norris was buried in 1977. I will make a second inquiry about this as well.

Kind Regards,
Susan

Jessie & Mabel Bates (70703517/70703279) Liberty Hill TN
Maudie..have claimed the req for these photos. Posted Kate & Georges', also Irene Fitzpatrick (sister to Mabel)George & Ronald (sons of Jessie & Mabel). Except for Bobbie Lawson (dau of Jessie & Mabel), they are altogether. Have not found Jessie & Mabel. Any other info that might help me? Do they actually have markers do you know? Will check Liberty Hill in library today...pretty accurate list to place them there or not. Thanks, Val

Julia Warfield Hunt photo request
I went on and got a couple photo of Mrs. Hunt's grave. To give you an idea, one photo is the area. The grave is like an above ground tomb and the etching is on the top and large lettering. This makes it difficult to get a good view of it. Her husband's is the same and he is on the left in the photo. They are surrounded by Hunt's and Dudley's. Hope this helps

RE: Parsade McGrady Burke
Hi Maudie,

I searched everything I could find there and couldn't find her in Trace Creek, West VA.

I also can't think of any time they would of lived there, just doesn't sound right.

I wonder if she has her confused with someone else.

I am very discouraged with finding her death date and where she is buried. So frustrating!

I added more of her children to ancestry on my Hart tree. Still more to do.

I checked every where I could think of and found nothing. I just don't understand how you have 13 children and no one knows where she is buried.

I will finishing adding the children to Ancestery , in hopes I run across a clue to finding her.

I have two big projects I am working on right now. The LaRues from up state NY and a Y-DNA project to find the father of someone born out of wedlock.

Please keep me updated. I will always do what I can. Happy Hunting! Bettina
