Saw your posting on someone else's message page about the Yancy Independents and book.
I am working on finding all civil war soldiers in the Tiftarea. I hope to do a newspaper article in April as it is the 150 year since the surrender. Would you email me a pdf copy of the book, please? firstname.lastname@example.org
thanks so much!

Henry is the husband of my grand aunt Susan Horst and according to his death certificate, his birth date is 20 Jan 1880 and death date is 30 Oct 1953. Please make the date corrections.

Memorial # 78807980, is the twin brother of George Washington Roper.
Would you transfer this memorial to me also. Thanks,

Subject person, memorial # 66439176, is my great grandfather. If he is not related to you would you consider transferring the memorial to Me? I have other children and family info to attach.

Hey Russ - I'd love a pdf copy. I'm email@example.com read the story on the cem. opening page or my FB if you do that. Also have William J. Gunter who has no death place listed on his record but judging by the date of death must be in Huntersville too. There are several Ga. soldiers buried in Marlinton, the legend being measles was the cause of death. Col. Savage of the 16th TN wrote of the conditions there in Huntersville - that being the cause of so many deaths. I've made 4 trips up there and it is such an honor to be part of this piece of history.

I recognize your name from the SCV website and was going to write to you. I've found 2 more of your boys #137251420 and #137250892 in Huntersville Confederate Cemetery in western Virginia per their CS records. The old cem. there is the resting place for several CS soldiers who died of disease. There is also a cem. in the next town when I was doing some research for the museum there and found 2 more of your boys but as of now that cem. is unnamed. I'm listed as the cem. official who ordered the first 20 stones in Huntersville, however with the new regs. family members only can order. Do you know of any McRaney or Weeks descendants who would help with the stones? I'll gladly do the paperwork. I hope to hear from you. (PS if you need any verification you can call SCV HQ and speak to Bryan Sharp.)
