Thank you,

WE ARE THE CHOSEN by Della M. Cumming ca 1943.-"In each family we are called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts but, instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the story tellers of the tribe. ...... So, as a scribe called, I tell the story of my family. It is up to that one called in the next generation, to answer the call and take their place in the long line of family storytellers. That is why I do my family genealogy, and that is what calls those young and old to step up and put flesh on the bone."

I purposely omitted the names of the children with William Bassett as they are step children. Thank you for your concern.

RE: Memorial# 16367710
At the far left is Emma Frances Bowie Bocklett (1857-1936)

Next to her, the small white stone with the lamb on it is Alvin Roy Johnson, 2 year old son of Paul & E.M. Johnson

Behind Alvin, the further away tall gray stone near the street is Margaret Cunningham, died 1896, age 43

The tall white stone near the street, behind Walter, is William Bowie (1808-1887) and Margaret Bowie (1831-1899) [just an aside - could these be Emma Frances' parents? Rather than the links on her memorial?]

Not in the picture but to the right of William and Margaret is Alexander Bowie Sneddon (1911-1915)

In front of him are James Adamson Sneddon (1875-1920) and Anna Bowie Sneddon (1875-1954)

I'm sorry but I don't know who the small gray stone kind of in the middle is. Perhaps it was unreadable so I didn't photograph it.

Hope this helps.

Hello Gone But Not Forgotten,
Do you have plot information for this person, if so I'd be happy to go and take the photo for you.
All the best,

I have way too much time on my hands!! I found in the Tillotson survey results from 1899...that the memorial page that I had of Esther with no last name was Esther Griswold died 11 July 1813 wife of John Griswold.
Now I can sleep better at night!!

Charlie Cleveland Trantham
I am not related to the Trantham's I created the memorial from the grave marker. I have linked Charlie to his parents now. The Oregon Co. inscription book lists Charlie Sr. as being buried in an unmarked grave in Thayer Cemetery, but there is no listing for Sarah under the name Trantham or Harmon being buried in Oregon Co.; I don't know if that helps or not.

Trantham Message
It would be easier for you to email me directly, cnapatterson@centurytel.net
Elijah T Wesley Trantham was a son of Zachariah and I do have info on their children. My line is Zachariah's sister Nancy Trantham Turpin. I don't have photos from the line you inquired about, but have written off to counties and gotten various documents.

Ragan Trantham
Early on in my research I mistakenly added a tree that listed Matilda Evans as a Trantham. The reason I had no other source so I took that one without researching it myself. It was Amy Patterson who corrected me. I put that tree in the LDS site and have yet to correct it. So if you see Matilda Trantham, it is wrong. I did that over four years ago before I found the correct surname.
