Native to Kentucky, have interest in cemetery preservation, transcribing and photo volunteer in my area. Have been doing genealogy in my family since 1977. |
If you request a transfer, please make sure you have read and understand the FAQ's concerning direct lines within four generations. Be aware you are the 1st generation. Relationship must be provided and as much proof that can be verified, please ask through "Edit Tab", do not post on message profile. I will consider OOG under special circumstances.Update: as of Dec 2013, all suggest a corrections can only be accessed from your profile under Edits, pending for approval, edits sent for approval, etc. There are no email notifications sent at this time.
I will not hesitate to "retake" a photo, weather permitting, as some requests or when I have mowed the rows, had been effected by the time of day (light), the season or conditions, ie drought. I do take care to try to go only on optimal days that would result in the best photograph. Just leave a message on my profile if needed.
Should I become incapacitated, or should no longer be able to maintain my memorials, my assigned steward is BLE (my daughter) contributor # 4868904

I'm sorry to report that Mr Redmon (spelled Redmon in the records) has no marker at the location given in the database. He is buried just before the large tree in the range central to the photo. I took the the picture from there so you could verify the correct range by the range marker in the foreground.

Thank you.... that is right, so I've made the change.
And thanks so much for the wonderful pictures!
|Myra IV 💕||Worstell Family|
In my genealogy research I have come across a Worstell... Elizabeth A. "Lizzie" Worstell that married George Ide. They lived in Sheridan District, Perry Township, Lawrence County, Ohio. The family has ties to Kentucky, as Lizzie, though listed in her 1st census as an infant in Woodford County, KY, but says she was born in Ohio. She appears with David & Elizabeth Worstell. If you are familiar with this line, I am looking for Lizzie's mother's maiden name. I suspect she was the former Betsy Ann Rankin...
If not, no problem...
Just posted monument photo for Patrick Reid. Call the cemetery and inquire to who else is buried at:
Section B=Block 3-Lot 4 and they should be able to tell you their names. Then you can add their memorials.

I was glad to do it...

I called the cemetery n they said that other stone is a different lot. The 2 girls r t to the immediate left n no stone. BUT she volunteered to send me a copy of the lot placard (map). I'll upload it to the sisters photo request. They do an excellent job keeping records

I added John Blacks marker but I'm not clear about the other Blacks. I have a phot of the marker to the immediate right but was not able to read it. Let me know if you'd like me to email it
