I do family research for my family and will take pictures of headstones in cemeteries I visit.|
I also do research on the descendants of Darby and Hannah McCarty who lived in Shenandoah County, VA from 1744 to 1787. If you are a McCarty descendant please contact me.

Regarding John Louis McCarty - Find A Grave Memorial # 26049221. There are two Find a Grave memorials for John Louis McCarty (John McCartey). The second one is spelled wrong, but they have a grave marker posted with the incorrect spelling. They are both in the same cemetery and are married to Rebecca Maples McCarty (Find A Grave Memorial# 120395047) and (Find A Grave Memorial# 95721624). Please check the other memorial (Find A Grave Memorial# 95721582) and let me know if they are indeed the same. I have found records indicating that John Louis may also have been married to Alice Lundy and Ida Belle Hamilton. Or perhaps these are other John McCartys. Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Mike, I recently discovered the page for Elizabeth Jane Wood McCarty. Are you descended from Jane and Henry? Or just related to them?
You may know this already, but Jane's maiden name is actually Woods. She was born 10/29/1871 to Samuel Jackson and Eliza Ann Woods near the Parch Corn Hollow area of Christian County.
She married Henry on 1/26/1888 in Ozark, Christian County, Missouri.
Her family was the only one of the six Woods siblings to move away from Greene/Christian County in Missouri.
Thanks for posting the picture of Jane, Henry, Louis and Ethel on the page. Are you aware of any other pictures from this family?
The picture was taken in Ozark, Missouri in 1891, making Jane about 19 or 20. She is very pretty.
You list the 3 boys on the page, but do you know what happened to the two girls, Ethel and Arlene. I have that they both ended up in California, but not sure.
My Grandmother, Addie Emaline Woods Rogers, is Jane's youngest sister. I look forward to your response. Thank you, Rick Webb

Mike, I am the great granddaughter of Isaac Goode. I am trying to become a member of DAR and am having trouble proving he is the son of Thomas Jefferson Goode, Jr. Thomas died when he was about 3 years old and was raised by his sister Maranda Bogue. Do you have any info that will help prove his father was Thomas Jefferson Goode, Jr.? He and Daniel Hunt Goode were brothers. Thanks, Patti

I was doing photo requests for McCarty family in Ogden City Cemetery, Utah. By coincidence, 'Honoring William McCarty' came up on my screen. Had to check it out.
Any relation to the Utah McCarty's? Looks like some early settlers were from New York.
