Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been working on my Family history since I was 11 years old. I started this because of a homework assignment and became hooked when Grandpa explained that he was Grandma's third husband. I had no idea!

I've used this site for a long time, gleaning little tidbits of information that I needed. Then it occurred to me that I may have information that someone else needs so I should give back. I signed up as a member and I've been adding my little tidbits as I find them. I hope it helps someone.

UPDATES ON MY PROJECTS!

I have photo documented the Stafford Memorial Gardens, Stafford, VA up through last summer (2012) so now we just need to keep up with the new additions. But there are hundreds of unmarked graves in that cemetery.

I have taken all photos for the AMAA Cemetery in Brooke, Stafford/Fredericksburg, VA. All names and photos have been entered as of June 2013. This cemetery buries people in the order received so it will be easy to keep updated.

I have completed the photos for Rodef Shalom Cemetery in Cardiff, NJ. I will be entering those as I can. There are over 4000 photos so it may take me most of the winter to get them all entered!

I have taken photos of about 1/3 of the Beth Kehillah Cemetery in Cardiff, NJ. I have completed adding the photos that I have until my next trip. (Except for the ones that need translating from Hebrew to English.)

I have completed taking the pictures in Emeth Shalom Cemetery, Cardiff, NJ. I will hopefully complete entering them into FAG by the end of 2014!

Also, if I claim a photo request for an area not local to me (Stafford, VA) don't panic. It means that I was there and already have the picture and I will upload it once I return home from my travels. Along those lines - when I am traveling I may let you know that I have claimed one of your photo requests. If you will go ahead and request the rest of your family in that cemetery it helps because if I am running out of time, memory space in my camera, or battery I will try to concentrate on requests that have been made. :)

Edits and Transfer requests should be made through the edit tab. Thanks.

Memorial correction
Carol,
You listed on “Ann Greenway Warner” (1822-1899), her memorial page (Memorial# 106263591), that she is the “Wife of Joseph”. Not so. She is the wife of James Warner (1820-1899) same cemetery. Mary Worden Warner (1856 - 1929) is Joseph’s wife.

Ronnie Boner
Years ago during the mid to late 70's my late ex-husband and I were very good friends with Ronnie and Terry. When we left there we moved around quite a lot and lost touch. Their father used to come over with them sometimes.. driving his "pink" truck. He loved that thing! I've always wondered what became of the boys and was quite saddened to find that Ronnie had passed. I would love to talk with Terry sometime and just spend some time catching up the years. I'm sorry for your losses.

Samuel Byer and Katie Cohen Byer
Hi Carol,

I was researching my family and found your link to a gravesite I believed was my family. The trouble I'm having is the cemetery I previously thought they were buried at isn't the same cemetery you listed. Did the cemetery change names over the years?

My Samuel Byer was born Abt. 1877 in Odessa, Russia. I had his death date as 1942. The cemetery I have listed is: Pleasantville, Atlantic City, New Jersey (Workman's Cemetery).
His wife, Katie Cohen Byer was born in Besserabia, Romania, Abt. 1877. She is also buried at the same cemetery as her husband. They had a daughter Minnie Esther Byer who is my grandmother. She died 3 months before I was born in Miami, Florida in 1960. My grandmother had many siblings in which I did get to know some of them. Is it possible it's just a coincidence that Samuel Byer and Katie Byer are Jewish and both sets (yours and mine) are buried in Atlantic City, New Jersey? The dates are very close. My Samuel Byer died Abt.1942. My Katie Byer died as it was given to me on April 27th 1952.

Does any of this sound familiar to you? Or am I looking at the wrong cemetery and or the wrong family?

Thank you!

Matthew Lindsay

Thank you!
Dear Carol,
Thank you for finding the gravestones of Osher and Rebecca Epstein in Rodef Shalom, Atlantic City, NJ. (Rebecca's grave number is # 130369800). Your efforts have helped me confirm her identity.

I am trying to find out if her son, Solomon Epstein, died around the same year and was buried nearby. I just joined Find a Grave, so perhaps I can research further on the site.

Thanks again,

Penny

After the obit, it's her! Found a ref about her husband remarrying in 1858 and Helen dying in 1955 (http://prabook.org/web/person-view.html?profileId=364469).

So there is another Helen Williams with the same DOB who died in 1983.

Helen MacQueen Gibbs
Birth 2 Mar 1899 in Baltimore, Maryland
Death Dec 1983 in Ebensburg, Cambria, Pennsylvania

DOB from 1920 & 1922 Passport applications that gives father's name.

DOD from SS record with matches DOB, but I can't find an obit. Although the place is odd, her husband died a few months earlier in Glyndon, Baltimore, Maryland, where one son still lives.

The 1955 DOD may be from another tree where it's unsupported.

Just saw your note one her. What is memorial# or maiden name... So I can figure out who she is in my tree and try to figure it out. The message doesn't link to her.

Thanks,
Bill;
