I have lived in Germany for almost 25 years.|
Since retiring in 2004, I am a "Johnny come lately" researcher. My sister is the real expert and she is gently leading me along the genealogy trail. My strength on our team is that I love maps and details, while she is the history expert.
As a result of the new mitochondrial DNA testing
(mtDNA), we are off in a new tangent... tracing our maternal roots in SC. NC and VA. It is not an easy task once you get back to your 3greats grandmother, as maiden names are often hard to come by. Right now our Brick wall is between 1800 Chester/Fairfield County SC and 1700 County Antrim Ireland. What an adventure it is!
I welcome emails and questions.

The data I have is as follows, Mary Ann (Polly) Stevens. D. O. B. 10/27/1846. D. O. D. 12/19/1896. Married John Thomas Cartwright, D. O. B. Abt. 1825 D. O. D. Abt. 1858 Both are at rest at Cooper - Brodie cemetery in Sally, Akin County, S. C. I have no data on the person you are seeking. Sorry. Joe Mckinney
The same thing has happened to me over and over again. Or the first and middle names are reversed and I miss that, too. I probably have the record for creating the most duplicates, but like you, if someone points them out to me I'll delete them. Now some people won't. Then sometimes both get linked to the parent and it get's messy... Thanks for understanding. Have a blessed day!

As requested I have transferred his memorial to you.
Also just a note, I have relatives that was also in Atrim Ireland, yet they originated in Scotland and migrated to Ireland, and the Ireland people would not tolerate them there, because of there religious beliefs, so then from there they sailed to So. Carolina on 5 different ships.
Good luck with your searches.

I don't have any other pictures from nearby. I seem to remember another stone, that was very hard to read. I'll check next time I go there.
There are some other Reeds, not too far away, but I don't know if they are related - different plot. They are Ferris (1919-1923), Christine (1911-1928), and a double stone with Nero (1867-1949) & Nora Sheheen Reed (1880-1958). These are all in the same plot.
