I've been compiling my family's genealogy since 2002. I will do more once I retire (which is about 40 years away) and still consider myself a novice. |
I love this site because with three kids and a full time job, travel is usually out of the question. I'd be more than happy to take pictures for anyone, but would get to them a lot sooner with a lot number.
I'm particularly interested in babies and children. Having lost my own son, I want to make sure their memory lives on.
Most of my memorials were added through the spreadsheets so they aren't always properly linked up to family members. I apologize, and intend to fix this when I get the time, however, if you'd like to see something fixed, please message me and I'll make it a priority.
Please feel free to use my findagrave photos in a respectful manor. I hope no one is offened by my adding photos. I do it with the utmost respect and love. If I've posted info regarding a family member, I will release ownership of the memorial to you if you'd like. I may retain the right to keep them if they are mutual and close, but this shouldn't usually be a problem.

Sorry -- those Memorial numbers are:
Lucien Hougardy #58135419
Viola Nathalene Witty #58135420
Yesterday I found a Belgian birth record for Lucien (Pat Frank) Hougardy. I sent you an email to the hotmail address I had, but it was returned as undeliverable. Then I went to FB to tell you, but it appears we are no longer "friends" and I don't know which of the Michelle McDaniels you are to send a friend request.
On findagrave I find that the link to the FB page on your profile no longer works, and there is no way to send you a private message. So I'm stuck sending a public message, which was obviously not my first choice.
In 2010 (our first contact), you told me that Hougardy was your husband's tree that you were working on. I notice that there are only two Hougardy memorials which you manage. Are still working on his family?
Would you mind turning those two over to me -- Lucien and Viola Nathalene Witty Hougardy? I'd like to link them (or at least Lucien) to his father & brother's memorials which I manage. Also to make corrections to and update the memorial with the newly found name he was given at birth.
If you don't want to turn him over to me, I understand (it's outside of findagrave's guidelines). I'll submit the information to get his name corrected, as well as his date of birth, which is wrong on his memorial.
I think you have my email address. If you have a cableone.com address, that one is wrong. I now have a yahoo.com address -- but I don't want to leave it on a public forum. But I believe you can send me a message through findagrave -- or perhaps ancestry.com's messaging service. I didn't try that -- sorry.

This is my grandfather's name. We have family roots in New Jersey, Oklahoma, Kansas, California, Wales, France, Belgium. Would like to connect with all with surname in family history.
|D.M.B.||Lucy Selvey McDaniel|
I see that you have posted the info for Lucy Selvey and that you have McDaniel in your name. If you don't mind my asking, is the McDaniel name a coincidence or is this a family line?
I'm asking because I'm trying to confirm if the J.T. McDaniel (for whom you have a grave pic) is the John McDaniel from my family tree. If you have any info, I'd love to chat. My e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org.

Rebecca's maiden name was SCOTT. If you would look at the SCOTT tombstones you will find Rebecca's sisters as well as her parents.

|Linda McCallister||RE: Beals|
2 things: A.) Baby F Beal that I transfered was actually Alonzo Jr's child (sorry I got ahead of myself) and B.) Would you mind taking all of my Jackson Co Beal's off my hands? Their actually relatives by marriage, I just wanted to make sure I got them while I was out there. Let me know if this will be a problem. Thanks!

I think I responded to this, but just in case, let me do it now. I would really appreciate the transfer of the Beal findagrave memorials. Also, if you have any regarding Frank Smith, Lloyd Smith, Pearl Smith and a Baby Smith in Jackson County. Thanks, Linda McCallister
|Blytha & Donald Ellis||RE: Edgar Ballowe|
I am not related to the Ballowe family. I was just adding persons to the New Frankfort Cemetery list on Find-a-Grave and trying to find out a little about each person. I found that Edgar Ballowe's wife was at New Frankfort and I added her and connected the two. Since I had some information on him, I wanted to pass it along to you for his memorial. I have other family at New Frankfort and that is what got me started. Everyone has a story that should be preserved.
|Helen Moore||RE: Edna Benwell|
Yes, Ida Ethel would be my grandmother. Who was your husbands grandparents and who was his father?
I have just been doing genealogy for a few months. I have visted the library in Independence a few times for some of their lectures and I just visted the Sstate Historical Society of Missouri in Columbia. I have a daughter who lives in Columbia and works for the university and the Society is located on campus, I just found this out a few weeks ago.
I still have so much to learn. sometimes it is over whelming and I have to backaway and soak it all in. I was able to find the obit for Perry Williams and John Frederick Williams while I was in Columbia.
As far as I know all the siblings from Perry and Ida are deceased which one was my father,my aunt Thelma, aunt Mary Jane, aunt June and uncle John. but I have not figured out thr children from Perry and Edna.
