|Christina||Theodore Wythe Bates|
My brother and I are investigating our Bates heritage. We have been trying to find the parents of John C Bates, who was married to Elizabeth Quarles in the early-mid 1800s in KY. Based upon a copy of a suit we found, Theodore W. Bates was a brother of John C. and Lewis B. Bates. There is a statement in an old book (History of the Towandas 1770-1886, by C.F. Heverly, publ. 1886) that Harriett Wythe, daughter of Joshua Wythe of Cincinnati, married John Bates and lived in Covington. We think that these are the parents of John C., Theodore W., & Lewis B. Bates.
We have been unable so far to find a record of the Wythe middle name of Theodore W. Bates, although we are firmly convinced that was his name. Are you aware of a record showing his middle name? What was your source of the Wythe middle name?
Thank you for your work for findagrave.com which has been valuable to our research.
|Margaret Roan||Bourne Family|
Hello, my name is Margaret and my papaw was Manuel Bourne. His parents died when he was young and was put in an orphanage. Edward and Elizabeth Cobb Bourne from Owen County Ky took him out of the orphanage and raised him. I was wanting to know if you have any information for my family tree that I am working on. I do not know the name of the orphanage in which my papaw Manuel was in.
Thanks so much!

|Nancy Hopkins||Rev George Madison Cobb|
Thank you for transferring my great grandfather to me.
|Betty Sue Marlett Mouzakitis||Ollie Bledsoe|
I found in my email today a message that you had transferred the memorial site for Ollie Bledsoe to me.. I did see on your profile page that another person had requested help with that site or a transfer. Ollie Bledsoe is not a member of my family and it must have been a mistake. So if you could please transfer that back to the other person that would be great.
Thank you most kindly.
