And, you may note that I manage more memorials than I have added. That, in no way, means that I'm a "numbers" person. It means that I have been honored to receive multiple memorials from some contributors who were either in ill health (they wanted to make sure someone would care for their memorials after their death) or for some other very good reason. I only accept management of multiple memorials like this if they are located within cemeteries where I have relatives, friends or have put in a lot of work. I truly hope that when my time comes, someone will be there to take over my memorials into which I have invested so much of my lifetime. God bless! * * * * * *
I have lived in Sweetwater, Texas all but four years of my life.
A geneology nut, I love to help people find their family information through this volunteer work.
I am the Find-A-Grave coordinator for the Nolan County Cemeteries. The Sweetwater Cemetery is my favorite (my daughter, father & grandparents are buried there). Outlying Nolan County cemetery photos can be made as time and travel permits.
I have strong family ties to the following cemeteries:
* Sweetwater (Nolan County, TX) * Old Bethel (Anderson County, TX) * Frankston City (Anderson County, TX) * Roby (Fisher County, TX) * Rose Hill (Taylor County, TX)
I'll be happy to make corrections on any of my entries if needed, or I will gladly transfer memorials to family members (at my discretion when it involves my kinfolks).
My families are (to name a few):
HEALER Cardwell - Hammond - Turner - Elam - Fry - Douglass
COOK Hughes - Thomas - Beard - Willingham - Folmar
DAVIS Free - Wyly - Bates - Stewart - Powell
Always interested in hearing from anyone with any connections to my families.

THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY By Thelma Greene Reagan
Today we walked where others walked On a lonely, windswept hill; Today we talked where other cried For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.
Today our hearts were touched By graves of tiny babies; Snatched from the arms of loving kin, In the heartbreak of the ages.
Today we saw where the grandparents lay In the last sleep of their time; Lying under the trees and clouds - Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.
Today we wondered about an unmarked spot; Who lies beneath this hollowed ground? Was it a babe, child, young or old? No indication could be found.
Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay. We had been here once before On a day we'd all like to forget, But will remember forever more.
Today we recorded for kith and kin The graves of ancestors past; To be preserved for generations hence, A record we hope will last.
Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend, For stones sometimes crumble to dust And generations of folks yet to come Will be grateful for your trust.

 | RE: Goodwin - Sweetwater Cemetery Thank you for reminding me. I was going to put the picture up after supper and I forgot, got busy doing other things. You can copy any picture we put up. It's ok. We are not looking for credit, just want the folks in the families to see the pictures of their relatives headstones. | | | dwlee3

 | RE: CHILDRES AND NOELS I will do it. Take care | | | DONNA WOOTTON NEWTON
 | RE: CHILDRES AND NOELS Yep sure did. I worked in bookkeeping and helped proof. Small world. I am in Brownwood now. I think there were only 7 girls and 1 boy for JD Childers senior. Don't know where Ada and the other boy came from. We need to get together someday and talk about the old days. Will try to send you a old group photo in front of the house on B street. | | | DONNA WOOTTON NEWTON
 | CHILDRES AND NOELS Thank you so much for all the hard work that you have done on my family. A few years ago there was very little information on them. John D. Childers Sr. was my great grandfather and Ella Jewel Noel was my grandmother. My daughter lives in Sweetwater and we still own JD's old home on Avenue B and Newman. She lives at 807 B. What a blessing you are. | | | Hannah
