|My daughter Madison (12) has always been fascinated with the local cemeteries (Dyersville, IA). We often ‘drive through' on our way home when out. While doing research on our property's abstract, we came across FindAGrave.com and noticed that others wanted pictures of memorial markers in our two cemeteries. We decided to do this as a family and help others out in the process.|
If I do enter a memorial and you want me to transfer it to you, just ask - since I don't know most of these people.

Thank you so much for this photo. I have entered a memorial for Elias Bucknell in Phelps cemetery, as it seems the stone in The other cemetery is likely for a different Bucknell, not my great great grandfather Elias. Would you be so kind as to post your photo on the new memorial at Phelps for Elias please? That's again, your efforts are very much appreciated. You've helped solve a mystery of why Elias would possibly be buried in waterloo instead of here with Jane, and as to why a stone supposedly from only 1928 would be so worn (the one in the other cemetery). Now I must figure out who that one is, lol! :)

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! I am so grateful to you all for your beautiful photo of the grave marker.
I love that you consider Find a Grave a family project. I believe this way too. My husband and my teenage daughter have often helped me walk a cemetery taking pictures.

Many thanks for the photo of Elizabeth's stone. She would be my great- great-great aunt who immigrated from Germany in the 1850s to Canada and then to the USA after marriage. It continues to amaze me how extensive families can become after only a couple of generations.
Thanks for helping me connect. Carole
