Became interested in family history in 2002. Enjoy tracking down my relatives and ancestors. Enjoy putting the flesh on the bones of their lives and writing articles about them.|
This website is a great idea! Supplying photos and burial information - especially for those that live far away - is an invaluable service.
Most of my memorials are for non-relatives. I have included them so that there is a permanent record of their gravestone should the elements spoil it over the years. Too many gravestones are unreadable nowadays and that is sad. How can we ensure the deceased are not forgotten if they have become anonymous?
If you are a relative and would like any of my non-relative memorials transferred to your stewardship, please ask and I'll do my best to oblige. But be aware I react very promptly to edits. If you have something to add to your relative's memorial you can rest assured it will be added (if accurate).
Similarly if you'd prefer that your relative is not memorialised in this way, please let me know and I will remove it. However, please be aware I have not uploaded your relative's grave to be discourteous - just trying to ensure that they and their gravestone still matter and will endure.

No problem Lynn , Happy to help . Shame you had to wait a couple of years for the photo !
I think I may have inadvertently uploaded it twice onto Fredericks memorial so you may have to delete one :-)

|Len||RE: Reginald Lord|
Hi, I'm so sorry that i could not find Reginald Lord for you. Of course it might well be my mistake as i am always in a hurry and i think i covered about 50 photo' requests at ''Etaples Cemetery''. I will be going back over there later in the Summer so i will have another look, especially if their are a few more to find there. Also, i have written to C.W.G.C. and asked them if they would be kind enough get one of their garden staff to check it for me. It's not unusual not to find someone where they are supposed to be. In ''Wimereux'' Cemetery their were two or three that i could not find and the gardener there agreed it with me and reported it. Anyway, i'll continue to pursue it as best i can.
Hope you have a good weekend.

|Lin Hensby||RE: Which Is Your Great Grandmother|
Sorry it's my husbands Great Grandmother, Ann Mary Springle, is there anyway I can add my husbands parents to this link...I have already put them on find a grave but I can't seem to add them to my family tree, new to all this. My husbands Father is Albert Victor Hensby Cremated at Efford cemetery & crematorium. Plymouth Devon.

Yes, they are. The dirt that appears on the bottom of the stone is a mix of dirt and lichen. I was too scared to try to scrape it off since the top of the stone was already missing. I poured water over it and brushed it with my hands and that was as good as I could get.
Sometimes it stinks that we can't get good shots for family. I told the office and they will see if there is any next of kin left to fix or repair the stone. There were remains of flowers in the stone planted above his headstone, so maybe someone still comes to visit.
