My wife Jean and I have been doing genealogy for about 32 years. We do it out of love for our families. My families are: Wallace, Owen,Rodgers, Farmer, Wood, Wilson, Steelman, Speer, Jacks, Hosier & Kimbrell.|
Jean's families are: Hastings, Philpott, Wallace, Green, Bryant, Bateman, Simms, McBride
Update: I have started entering non-members of my family into Findagrave. If you have any correction or would like additional information added please contact me. I will also remove or transfer entry to a proven relative.
My Wife, Jean Bateman Wallace. My Lover, My Friend and the Mother of My Children.
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
In this field of green.
The name and date are chiseled out
For all the world to see.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I'd exist,
You died long before I was born.
Yet we are of one, you and I,
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the life you lived
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

I've been able to get my line back to Matthis. But it gets a little fuzzy because I've ran into a lot of bad undocumented information. I will not add it unless I can get documentation to back it up. I'd like to get the information on your line. My Speers line is pretty fuzzy. Do you have your tree on line? I've pretty much kept my information private. You can reach me my e-mail that's listed on my profile. Lately I've been working on the Traylor line. Which is my mothers maiden name. Have a great a day.

Hi Bill, Thank you for all the hard work you have done for Find A Grave, it is greatly appreciated. I have a question regarding Emily Belle Berry Owen. where did you come by the picture of her? We have look through all our old photos and can not find anything in this age group, so we where wondering if we had some other 'cousins' out there. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was curious about the photo of William Speer. Is that, in fact, a photo of the William Speer, who passed away in 1859?
Thanks for the info.

How cool! We've been doing research on the Speer family for years too. We have a box of old photographs that belonged to Grandmother, Minta (Speer) Grosbach. We've been able to identify the individuals in many photos and have published them on Find-A-Grave. I would love to email you some of the pictures that we can't identify, if you are interested. My email address is email@example.com.

Hello, Bill. I have been enjoying looking at your memorial pages. I am stuck on something in my own research. Would you happen to know the name of Peterson Kimbrell's first wife? She would be my fifth great grandmother. Their daughter, Sarah Crowder Kimbrell Parr is my fourth great grandmother. Thank you in advance!

Thanks, Bill. I appreciate your act of kindness. Daddy's name is spelled Bevley. The spelling of his name was very often misspelled.
