Sarah Manley Featherston
Hello, I was wondering if you have seen the gravestone for Thomas Featherston (111571131) and Sarah Manley Featherston (112308703). The reason I ask is that on the 1850 census, Thomas Featherston (born in 1835, which seems to be the son, Thomas Everett Featherston) and Mary Featherston (born in 1833, whom I am assuming is Thomas' older sister), are both living with my 3rd great aunt, Sarah Manley Barks (111571131) and her husband George Schall Barks (111571131), their children and Sarah's brother, John. They are living in Wisconsin in 1850. However, my Sarah Manley was born in 1815 in England and died in 1874 in Kansas. You can see the confusion on my part. I was hoping to figure it out.

Cindy Shepherd Sipple
Phineas Sheppard #119189778
Hi, my name is Cindy & I am the great granddaughter of Phineas Sheppard. I would love it if you would transfer this memorial to me as well as his spouse' (Charlotte Dowdney Sheppard #119189699).

Also, would you transfer the memorials for any other Sheppards that you have that are buried in Cohansey Baptist Church Cemetery or in Old Cohansey Graveyard in Sheppards Mill as they are all my family. I've been working on my family history since my father has passed and being able to manage these memorials are kinda a tribute to my dad. The stories I was told when I was little about the Sheppard family is amazing to say the least. When I buried my dad in Cohansey Baptist Cemetery (Edward A Sheppard (Shepherd) #149889254) I wandered around and found out that every Sheppard in that cemetery is related to me. I was blown away and that is what sparked my interest in the family genealogy.

I can't thank you enough for doing this for me. Thanks again and God Bless

Sarah Leah Gage (Memorial #55747794)
Working on my Alsbach/Alspauch line and was entering Sarah Leah Gage (Memorial #55747794) as daughter of Gilbert Clarence and Mildred Alice (Haywood) Gage (#s 55747782 and 55747786). If she was their daughter, her parents would have been 5 and 6 years old when she was born. In searching for information on Sarah Leah, I found all the pertinent US Census Records for Gilbert and his father George and no Sarah Leah. Thru 1940 (Last available US Census) Gilbert and Mildred were Childless. I think she is probably Gilbertís second wife but I have been unable to find anything to back it up except the Tombstone.

RE: Thomas and wife Phebe Parke Beeman
Hi Donna,

Thanks for your reply. I did find Tracey Beeman and posted a photo of his gravestone on Find A Grave. I located nearly all the BEEMANS listed on Find A Grave, but found no BEAMANS.

There were many ancient gravestones about, most without inscriptions. It may be that Thomas Beeman Sr. and Phebe are amongst those. 18th century headstones are very crude - life was hard and there were no stone masons doing headstones, but rather building houses.

Note that there are no BEAMANS listed in the Kent Historical Society cemetery listing for Kent Hollow Cemetery, only BEEMANS. Thomas and Phebe BEEMAN are not on their list. It may be that the list was compiled without noting any of the ancient stones.

Whatever, their burial location remains a mystery to me. It may be that they were buried in a cemetery in the adjacent town of Warren. I will contact you if I find anything new.

Congratulations to you for your terrific documentation of the BEAMAN family on Find A Grave. It is a great benefit to all of us researchers. I would love to know where you fit into the BEAMAN family.

Kindest regards,

Bob Sullivan

RE: Robert Ayars
I will try to attach my ancestry tree to show you what I am talking about.
This (hopefully) shows the line from Robert Ayars all the way to me, Michelle Watts Stevenson. Along the way, you see Issac, Caleb, and Joseph Ayars. All of which were mentioned in the Find a Grave information. Then you see James Ayars, my 8th GGF. Above him you see another of my GGF, Samuel Dunham. If you click greater-than sign (I'm a teacher lol) and open up S. Dunham's ancestry, you see the Rev. E. Dunham. He is married to Mary Bonham whose father is Nicholas Bonham. In Nicholas Bonham's profile, you see that Hezekiah Bonham is his son which makes Hezekiah Edmund Dunham's brother-in-law. So, Edmund was persecuting his brother in law, Hezekiah, for working on the Sabbath till he, himself, was converted. And as I said in my first letter to you, my great-aunt Mary, who is still living, verfies to me that my great-grandmother, Henrietta Francis Alen Munson was of the Seventh-Day Baptist faith. Henrietta was Edmund Dunham's 5th great-granddaughter and Robert Ayar's 7th great-granddaughter. This knowledge thrilled me as it gave credence to what I had discovered on Ancestry.
This tree then shows that Caleb Ayars great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Ayars, married Edmund Dunham's great-grandson, Johnathon S. Dunham who then became my 5th great-grandparents.
I hope this came across clearly. : )
