I've been doing genealogy since 1979. I've just resently started going out to cemeteries to take volunteer photos for others as I feel one good deed deserves another. I also believe we should do all we can to make sure those who have gone before us, should be remembered. I'm finding that there are so many stones that are barely visible and it really saddens me. If I have submitted a memorial for a member of your family or your ancestor etc. please let me know and I'll gladly transfer it over to you.
My son Scott goes out with me to photograph headstones. He's the best!
I don't know that you would want to add this, but an alternative "locator" for your grandfather's grave is 117-E, taken from the canvass and survey [circa 1970] which was later published in the book entitled "Our People And Where They Rest," James W. Tyner, Maxine Tyner and Alice Tyner Timmons, American Indian Institute, University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK. 1969-1985 p. 52 (Library of Congress No. QE99-C5-T97)
It is available online if you would want to check it yourself. https://familysearch.org/search/catalog/results#count=20&query=%2Bcall_number%3A%22976.6+V3t*%22
Thought there might be room in the "bio" section since there is a limited amount of space in the plot number field.
RE: Rev Charlie Corder You are very welcome. I was happy that I took pictures of the old stones before they were replaced. I'm in the Rev. James New line through his son Daniel Godsey New, granddaughter Martha Juda New, great-grandson Clint Colman Young, then Leva Young and then me. I'll let you compute how we're related and then you can tell me. ;-)
RE: George Washington Starr Sorry! I could not make a good id on George's parents or his wife's surname. Have not researched Starr in several years. Will see what I can locate. Hoping some other researcher will post online and share with us!
RE: Bessie M. Curry Brawdy Sorry, some of these are maintained by Judy Mayfield. I must not have been paying attention. No not related to this family, my wife and her family from Atlanta, still have family in Atlanta and go there often and I do some research on the people from the Atlanta, KS area....
