I'm a college senior who calls Michigan home. I've long enjoyed visiting cemeteries for the historical aspect, so this website is the perfect place for me to spend time. In fact, there's a chance that I was once the youngest member of Find a Grave, since I joined when I was about twelve years old.|
I am also an avid genealogist and have been since 2006. Please visit my website if you'd like to explore my family tree and perhaps contribute. You may use the visitor password "suomi" to explore it.
I am especially interested in those with the surnames Gasperich, Stanfel, Alamaa, Hoikka, Rowe, Moyle, Broad, Evonen, Lamberg, Lofback, Hermanson, Salonen, and Riippa.
Thank you for stopping by my page! Please don't hesitate to let me know if there's something I can do for you.
Note: In the summers, I'm generally available to take grave photos in the West Michigan and Copper Country areas (though the latter will be somewhat delayed). During the academic year, I can help out with a few cemeteries in the Ann Arbor area.

Hi, Could you change the burial location of John E. Lofback Mem #85963821 from the Riverside Cemetery in Ontonagon, MI to the Maple Grove Cemetery in Greenland, MI. This info is found on his death record. Thank you. Dan Castle VP Riverside Cemetery Association
|Sarah Pullen ||RE: Bliss family photos|
Hi there. No I am not working on the Bliss family genealogy. I found the photo in a box of old photos that belonged to a distant cousin who passed away. Fortunately the photo was clearly labeled with names. It's the only photo I have of them. Sorry. I do, however, work on other some other families from Allegan County, MI.

Nice to hear from you Emily. I have only the one photo from the Bliss family. I don't believe they are related to my PULLENS in Allegan County, but the photo was found among possessions of a cousin who passed away. So I can only assume that the Bliss family must have been neighbors or friends of the Pullens.
So in answer to your question I do not have any family info to offer for your research. Sorry. If you give me your email through I will send you a full size scan of the photo.

|Wanda Goode||Kurt O Krekel|
My husband was a close friend of Kurt and Ortha Krekel. We stopped at the cemetery to visit their graves yesterday. Today when I checked to see if there were on Find A Grave, we found their listings. Kurt actually died in Elm River Twp., Houghton, Michigan at his home. For some unknown reason a lot of the folks who die in the western UP of Michigan have Wisconsin listed as their last state of residence.
Also, he is the only son of Otto and Charlotte Krekel who are buried in Flint, MI

Thank you so much for the transfers, and I look forward to seeing the photos, at some point.

Thank you so much for once again fulfilling my photo requests! The photos are beautiful, I hope the weather is nice!
Are you staying in Houghton for the summer?

Links are done and I transferred to you since I saw you have the family.
Is there any way I can talk you into going to St. Henry's Cemetery in Nisula to take a photo of my Granpa's marker. His memorial is # 94827038
There is already a photo, but it isn't clear. If you spray it with water or some other trick,maybe it will become legible. I would appreciate it so very very much.

I've linked Ann's parents. If you'd want to add a bio, I'll be glad to add it if you send it thru the edit tab on her page. Thank you for the info. :)
|Maggie||Buschell Headstone, Mt Calvary Cemtery|
Thank you so much for taking the time to photograph and complete all the data entry for the Buschell headstone (Margaret and Frederick) in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Lake Linden. They were my grandparents, and an important part of my family tree and genealogy research. Living 12 hours away from Lake Linden makes it a bit difficult to do the hands on research that I'd like. You are great!
