Here I am ... search'n for grave markers in a remote cemetery & drive'n my ATW (All Terrain Walker)|
I have recently passed a photo threshold ... over 1,000 photo requests fulfilled ... an accomplishment of which I am very pleased. Age and the cost of traveling to cemeteries on my 'beat' has slowed me down; but I still get out to make the rounds from time to time ... solely at my pace.
Anyone should feel free to 'grab' the photos of grave markers which I own (& have posted to the Find a Grave memorials) for use in personal family trees or another venue; and, in such event, credit to my ownership, while appreciated, is not necessary. That being said, I do make it a policy NOT to e-mail copies of original images (to which I own proprietary rights) directly to anyone.

|Khillwoods||Odd Fellows Cemetery|
I want to thank you so much for the photos you made in Odd Fellows Cemetery to fulfill my photo requests. It's such a blessing to me that you walked thru this cemetery trying to find their graves, they are of my McBride family tree. They descend from Sherwood McBride born 1802 here in the Nashville, TN area & Catherine Stuart, they marr. in Lauderdale Co. AL in 1821. They moved from there to Itawamba Co. MS bef 1840 then on to Hunt Co. TX before 1850. Sherwood McBride was an older half brother to my 3rd g.gr.father, George Jefferson McBride, mine went to and settled in the Tipton Co. TN area just north of Memphis, TN where I grew up. I believe there's a good chance that Sherwood & Catherine Stuart McBride are buried in that Odd Fellows Cemetery. I wanted to make a Find A Grave listing for them there but they are not of my direct lines and I have no proof they're buried there. I hope maybe next year if we get to go on our out West trip I can stop and check out Odd Fellows Cemetery and some of the old ones around there and maybe find Sherwood and Catherine's graves, many thanks, Kay.

Thank you so much for the great photos -- and caption descriptions! I appreciate it very much. I have been so excited finding my various relatives at Oak Hill. Did you see anything of a grave for Bertie Ware Boothe?
