Gladys Carnegie in Magnolia Cem., DeFuniak Springs
Hi Dorothy, thank you for putting Gladys Carnegie on Find A Grave. I have unfortunately put a duplicate of her on here without knowing. I am very careful not to do this but many times some of these postings do not come up for months for some reason. I would not even know this except for another volunteer telling me. This is not the first time. Find A Grave is a good site but there are still many problems as you well know.
Anyway I was hoping you might transfer her to me even though I am not a relative. She worked for my Grandparents for many years and helped raise me over several summers as a young boy. I had looked for her grave marker several times and never could find it. Many of my kin are in Magnolia Cemetery.
If you don`t want to do this I understand but I wanted to add much bio. information over time to more fully tell her story and it is just so much easier this way.
If you don`t want to transfer I would humbly ask you to add the bio. that I already have on Find A Grave. There is so much more to tell over time and I will leave my posting up until I hear from you or you transfer or add my bio.. Either way no problems, as I like to say, and I would again like to thank you for all you have done on Find A Grave. If you want me to use the "Edit" option just let me know.
Sincerely, Eli Chandler

RE: Joshua Creek
I just got home and it was great meeting you also. Maybe we can get together one day for lunch. I live in Bartow but am retired so I make my own schedule.

The Metal Detector my sister and Joyce used today worked great. They found several buried Funeral Home Markers buried. I will be going to Joshua a lot more trying to find more unmarked graves. All total there is a little over two hundred with no markers.

RE: Joshua Creek
The Boys will start pouring the concrete to place the Funeral Home Markers at 8:00. I will be there at 8:00 and staying until they finish. Ponger Funeral Home contributed half the markers and the Historical Society paid the rest. The Boys are earning badges for doing this. Also, not sure when the sign will done that has been ordered by the Historical Society with a picture of the Old Church. It want be done Saturday but I will let you know when they have that installed. I have worked so hard to get people interested in marking the old graves, but thanks to Carol Mahler who got people to get involved. I will be taking the photos of each marker to add to Find A Grave under their names so finally 60 graves that had no markers not will at least have a Funeral Home Marker. But will also list in Bio exact location of Grave.

RE: Peggy Renfroe
That seems to be the way it should be from here, also. Don't know, but wonder if text takes up less server space than photos, and text would seem to be the better way to go.
Just seems odd that most of the members do not prefer to add obits when sent, even if permission to print the same is obtained beforehand as with this one.
