Kappenman's at Dolton Cemetery
Peggy, I am divesting myself of every memorial I have created except for immediate family, are you interested in my memorials from Dolton for management purposes?

RE: Jerry Myer Liebau
Hi, and thank you for getting back to me.

He is listed as Jeremiah in the 1900 census, when he was 14 and still living with his parents. His mother, Rachel J. (Ingram) Liebau had a brother Jeremiah M. Ingram, who went by "Jere". Rachel and Jeremiah' mother, Jane Malissa (Savage) Ingram, had a brother Jeremiah "Jerry" Savage, who was my great-great-grandfather.

Seems likely that Rachel's brother Jeremiah was Jeremiah Myer Ingram???

I wonder who Jeremiah Myer was!

I still believe, based on all of the above, that Jerry Liebau was named "Jeremiah" at birth.....

Thank you, Doy

RE: Katherine Driver Romans Justice
Then Charles Martin Romans would be Ed Romans brother. Ed was the one who married into the Justice family, as well as did his mother. No blood relations but a little like "I am my own grandpa". 😜Glad I could help. I have a nice picture of Katie Maw somewhere if you don't have one. Janice

RE: Katherine Driver Romans Justice
Hi, Peg. Glad I could help. I said everyone in this cemetery was blood related except Katie Ma. I will correct myself. My dad's brother Charles' wife Ella Artis was not blood related. David Romans and Dottie Lou Cole were bro and sister and were grandchildren of Katie Ma. They were also grandchildren of Charles and Ella Justice. Charles and Ella's daughter Esteline married Katie Ma's son Ed Romans. Is this your son-in-laws line? Esteline and Ed are not buried there. Esteline died while the family lived in Massachusetts and I suppose is buried there, but I'm not sure. Dottie Lou and her family lived near Cincinnati and Esteline stayed with them at times and may have been buried there. I'm contradicting myself here but if you are doing genealogy work just pointing directions to look. If it's important to you I could find out. I occasionally hear from Faye Romans Clevenger. She is Estelines sister. Never know where this genealogy will take you.

RE: Catherine Romans Justice
You're welcome, Peggy. As I said, everything I post is accurate or I don't post it. Catherine Romans Justice was my step-grandmother. The family called her Katie maw. She was a midwife who birthed my mother's brother's wife's baby. She was a nanny for my oldest sister (Lorene Justice Hern's only child. This was after grandpa died. Her son Ed Romans married my father's brother (Charles's) daughter Esteline. They had several children, Faye (still living) Dorothy or Dottie Lou died of MS and David (killed in auto accident). Last two buried in this cemetery. Maybe more children. All I can think of at the moment.
