RE: Eliza McConnaughay
I don't have a lot of information about Mary "Polly" Parsons. She was born April 24, 1797 in VA and I believe she must have died before 1850. She was married first to James McConnaughay. You probably have sufficient information about him. After McConnaughay died, Polly married Jonas Brooks "J.B." Wood on July 19, 1847 in Daviess County, IN. I'm not sure when Jonas Wood died, but there is a Jonah B. Wood on the U.S. Federal Census Mortality Schedule who died in 1850 in Daviess County, IN at age 70. The dates seem to indicate this might be Jonas. Polly's father was Benjamin Parsons, born March 9, 1771 in Pittsylvania County, VA. He died June 26, 1837 in Rockcastle County, KY. He married Sarah "Sally" Burton Forsythe in 1790. She was born November 18, 1774 in VA and died September 5, 1825 in Rockcastle County, KY. There

RE: Eliza McConnaughay
Eliza's parents were Mary "Polly" Parsons and James McConnaughay. Mary "Polly" Parsons is the sister of my 2nd great grandfather, Harrison Green Parsons.
