I have been doing family history research for over 12 years. Needless to say, it has become a passion. I have visited many county Genealogical Societies in PA, MD, VA and NC and have received a great deal of assistance from the local volunteers. Becoming a volunteer on Find A Grave is a small way for me to repay their kindness. I look forward to taking a lot of pictures!|
I will gladly transfer any memorial. I will add or correct information as quickly as possible. Please use the edit tab on the memorial to send any corrections, additional information or to request transfers.
If you can not reach me through FaG please feel free to always use my Juno email.

Thank you for the info. I added it to her Bio along with her obituary I found from the Lancaster (PA) Daily Intelligencer.

I tried to add a memorial but don't seem to have the skill to complete the task.
I saw your name on the memorial of Paul Hensley the husband of the lady I was trying to add. She is buried beside her husband in the Hensley Cemetery in McDowell County NC. The following information came from her obit at Westmorland Funeral Home.
Mrs. Virginia Brown Hensley, age 88, of Old Fort, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at The McDowell Hospital. Virginia was born in McDowell County on March 13, 1924 to the late Jessie H. Brown and Dona Kaylor Brown. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Her family and friends will remember her as a generous and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Paul D. Hensley and a daughter Janice Marie Hensley.
Surviving are four children, Alvin Hensley and his wife Glenda, Carl Bo Hensley and his wife Debbie, and Jean Adams, all of Old Fort, and Deanna Caldwell and her husband Thomas of Morganton; a sister, Maxine Metcalf and a brother, Vernon Brown, both of Old Fort; two half-brothers, Ken and Don Brown; two half-sisters, Susan King and Carol Matthews; six grandchildren, Anna Helms, Paul Hensley, Erin Adams, LeAnn Jacklett, and Josh and Justin Sanders; and two great-grandchildren, Brooke and Jared Helms.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Revs. Tony Shirley and Charles Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the Hensley Cemetery. Westmoreland Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
If you can enter a memorial for her I would appreciate it. She is my ex-husband's aunt.
