Bio and Links
I became interested in genealogy after my Father passed away. I felt a need to "find my roots". Find a Grave has been so helpful to me in my search. Obituaries hold a wealth of information, and often allow me to find a "link" to reconnect parents and families.

If you are related and I have a memorial for one of your loved ones, please contact me by clicking on the edit tab on the upper right hand corner of the memorial and then clicking the suggest a correction link to ask for a transfer. Connecting families, both past and present, is what it is all about!!

RE: Happy Thanksgiving!
Hi Jane,

I was happy to see your message. Happy Thanksgiving to you and hubby and family, too. I saw on the news where a lot of airline flights were cancelled due to storms, I feel sorry for the folks who can't get to their families for Thanksgiving. Take care and hope to see you both one of these days!

Martin Barlow
Jane, my father lived with Martin's family in TN for a while in 1935 - 1939, don't know just how long. His name was Tolbert Hicks. Did you ever hear of him? Also, I remember Martin visiting our family in the late 1950's in TN. My name is Denver Hicks and I am retired in TN now. Thanks for the post on Find a grave.

The picture you took of Gerald Richardson II

Im the son of Gerald Ralph Richardson II. I saw that you had taken a picture of my father and decided to contact you. Did you know him? He died while I was fairly young and I am trying to find out more about my relatives on his fathers side of the family (it has been somewhat difficult considering my Grandmother (his mother) dies a few years ago). Please email any information you may have to

Thanks for your time,

Gerald Ralph Richardson III

Geneva Mathews Clark
Thank you for adding this memorial. Geneva is my aunt who passed away before I was born. Did you find a copy of her death certificate or obituary? I would love to see them if you did.

Hi Jane,

Thanks for posting the picture of Duane and Jean's stone. They are Amanda's mother and father in law. Today is Jean's Angel Day. I hope you are okay, let's get together soon.

Griffith Relationships
Hi Jane,
I thought I'd fill you in on the relationships between people in three adjacent family plots at Beech Grove Cemetery, Muncie, IN. As you have figured, Edward Lytle Griffith was married to Ella W. Griffith. Their two sons are in front of them in the family plot, F. Randolph Griffith and George Lytle Griffith. In the plots to the left are the Mussler and Gay families. Mildred Marie Jones[Griffith] [Shinkle] Gay was the wife of George Lytle Griffith. They married in 1921. He died in December of 1924. In 1930, she married local businessman, Robert Shinkle, who has a marker between the Gay marker and the road. Robert Shinkle died in 1951. She married Miami attorney Russell Gay in 1956. George Lytle Griffith and Mildred Jones had one child, Gloria. Gloria, her husband Ernest Mussler and her third child, Mark David Mussler are buried between the Griffith and Gay family plots. Thanks.
