The info on Benjamin F. Mathis was taken from the Missouri Death Cert. It listed father as being Chappel Mathis, born in North Carolina and mother as being Hattie Holden Mathis, born in Middle, Tenn. That is all I know about his parents.

Could you give me the approximate location in Mt. Calvary Cemetery where I could find Edward Sweeney Sr? E.g., northeast quarter, southwest quarter, etc. Last year I promised his granddaughter (sorry I did not get her name) that I would put a flag on his grave on Memorial Day. Bill I enjoyed your information on the DeFee name. My g father James DeFee Whitehurst his mother Joanna DeFee her father James then his father john. I also found Pike county al biographies wher you had more information and pictures
