Bio and Links
Bio Photo My main interest here is family genealogy research that starts with my great-great-grandfather who traveled from Germany to the USA in 1857. I also research Andrepont that starts in 1785 with Joseph Andre Pont who came to Louisiana from France. Some of his grandchildren were given the combined name of Andrepont.

Find-A-Grave memorials for my grandparents were already created by others. So I started creating memorials for friends and co-workers that I knew personally. Then I began adding photographs and creating memorials for other parts of my family trees. I have also recorded veterans when I am in a cemetery doing a photo request. I served in the US Navy for 10 years both active and reserves.

These days my wife and I are quite busy with our young children. I don't do as many photo requests as I used to but if the cemetery ALLOWS PHOTOS and is not too far away from home and work, I might be able to.

Caroline Cowles Richards Clarke
I reviewed the quote and find it is from her Book Village Life in America page 189. I have a copy of it including an obituary pasted into it. Will review all and post them as time permits.

Thanks for the added info. I'll check it out. NOTE: My great grandmother lived in Canandaigua with her Aunt and Uncle and knew Caroline. Her Uncle and Aunt kept a periodic Diary of the period and he made an entry in the diary about going downtown to see why the bells were tolling. He added some prayers amd other comments to the Diary. It is an interesting reaction by small town America to Lincoln's death. I will have to check it out but I think William H. Seward had a connection to the area. I have a calling card of his.

John Archie Martin
Thanks for the interesting information on John Archie Martin. I have added it to his memorial. Please take a look at it to make sure, it's all correct. I always enjoying adding information to a memorial because it makes that person more than dates and it really helps when someone is researching their family.

Elizabeth White
Hi there,
I'm just getting ready to upload the photos for Elizabeth. Her marker also lists her husband. A branch slipped down as I was snapping the picture and it's obscuring the year of her death. Let me know if you want me to re-take hers. I drive by there on the way home from work so I can do it easily. Let me know if there's anything else I can do from this end to help you find information on Elizabeth.
Take care
Maggie

RE: Clopton Cemetery
Thanks for the tip. We've stopped working on that one some time ago. Some folks are just odd and we don't want to deal with them.

Memorial #31656411, Cenith Martin
Thank you for the picture of Cenith's headstone. I would like to have your permission to use this picture, with credit to you as photographer, if you don't mind. If you do, that's okay, too - I'll abide by your wishes. I'm really grateful to volunteers such as yourself who make it possible to "visit" our family, no matter how distant. Again, thank you.

I see you added a picture of the headstone for Stephen C. Hedglin. I was wondering if you might have known him personally. Would like more info on him. Thx, D-Ray
