I am a genealogy buff. I love to trace families and go looking for tombstones when I have time after I work. I am officially retired Dec 2010, so hopefully I will be able to get more tombstone photo's.
But boy has it been hot this summer so I haven't went grave yard hunting, I hope to catch up on my graves of pic people have sent me.
My line I am researching: Haynes, Whitworth, Hale, Patton, Maxey, Johnston, Salyer, Saylor, Carpenter, Mann, Davis, Howard, Row, Proffitt, Jackson, Moore, Chandler.

I'm going to visit Pleasant Grove Cemetery and a few other sites and would like to know if you happen to know where William James and family lived at the time of his death. I've been told it was near Mt. Magazine. I would also like to know if your account of his "hanging" is correct. Please don't be offended. I talked with one of his Great granddaughters and she remembered talking with his daughter Margaret Ann Kelly. Margaret Ann said he had come home on a visit and was going back to the Union Army camp when he was killed by bushwhackers. There was no mention of the hanging. On a side note it was told that it had snowed and he wasn't found for 3 days. So, just wondering. Thank you for all your work on the Kelly family.

I just noticed you've created a duplicate memorial, thought you'd like to know.

I would love to talk to you about this line. I descend from William Benjamin Carpenter and his wife Sarah Elizabeth Howard. Fielding and Delphia are my 6th great grandparents. I look forward to hearing from you. email@example.com

Thanks, so much for posting this. I always wanted to know about my grandpa Garfield. I would love to get more info. If u happen to have any.
|Michelle Trostler||Nancy, daughter of Fielding Carpenter|
I am searching for an unknown grandfather. To find him, I'm triangulating with my father's match's trees.
I have found a match at FTDNA who has Nancy Carpenter in her tree. And I have found a match at AncestryDNA who has Rebecca Carpenter in her tree. Rebecca's father and mother are Fielding and Delphia.
I'm wondering if you know the birthdate of Nancy Carpenter?
The Nancy Carpenter in the FTDNA match's tree married William "Billy" Runyon. She lived from 1800-1848 according to their records.
Your help is greatly appreciated! Also, thanks for doing such a great page for Fielding Carpenter! I hope I end up being related to him!

I must be really, really sleepy tonight. You are already the "owner" of Link and Nellie hahaha I'm losing my marbles from all of this cold and snow. Well, that's my excuse anyway...and I'm sticking to it
|Kandy Back Agee||RE: Lovely and Fletcher|
Do you want Link and Nellie Fletcher transferred to you?
|Kandy Back Agee||Lovely and Fletcher|
I made those additions that you requested. I am not related to either of these so if you'd like them, I will gladly transfer them to you. If you run across others that you'd like transferred, just let me know :)

We visited and photographed this grave and I believe the correct name is William S. M. Chandler. Can you change it on the record you have created? I uploaded the picture so you can look and see what you think as well.
