TY , I added your note to the memorial in Newport rather than delete since it is listed in transcription and will point others to the correct burial location rather than someone in the future re-entering them in Newport.

File resent - check your inbox/spam folder for an email from "WeTransfer.com".

Also, I sent you two emails on the 6th (both from different emails by accident) - did you get them?

Thanks for the quick reply. I did find the birth of Samuel in 1743 in Grafton VR to Samuel and Mary.... From all I can see, that is the Samuel who married Anna Brigham. I also checked for sources on Samuel Sr and his wife Elizabeth Stratton.... they had several children around the same time Samuel was born, but I could not find they named any child Samuel. They had children in late 1741 and early 1744, so there isnt much room for a child born in 1743. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much! I have found that Ann Fiennes-Clinton and Deacon Thomas Hastings both had a mother with the maiden name of KNYVETT, while Ann also descends from the Hastings.

RE: The Long Family Burials
Re: Richard+Florentina+Richard+Ann Long (Wiltshire UK)

I have been to St Mary the Virgin's in Steeple Ashton and have photographed the two memorial plaques for you.

I then found their burial site at St John the Evangelist and have photographed that too. I believe that while the actual bodies are within the underground Crypt at St John they also have a large stone alter burial above ground - but I need to enhance the images of the writing around the edge of this to confirm it as I could only make out the odd word due to a hard-to-read script and several hundred years of weathering!

On top of that I visited "Long's Park Castle", which is a Lodge/Folly attached to what was Roode Ashton House, the Long's residence for a number of generations. The House was destroyed in the 20th C but this little gatehouse remains and is a holiday home for rent.

You can find information at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Ashton

I need to do some work with the photographs - do you have an email that I can WeTransfer a zip file to you at once they are done?
