Hello and thanks for clicking on my page, you are probably someone who has helped me!|
I'm a married lady, and genealogy is my main hobby. While it's true that this site is not specifically for genealogy, memorials of our loved ones go hand-in-hand with the family tree. After all, who cares more about those being memorialized than their descendants? With the exception of famous people and soldiers, most of them would be ignored.
It's wonderful to be able to leave a token of remembrance for a great grandparent who's buried hundreds of miles away.
But my greatest joy here at FindAGrave is to add a photo or a few biographical tidbits to family memorials that may be here long after I'm gone, so ancestors will be more than just a name and date to future generations.
I am very grateful to all the wonderful volunteers who have loaded information and taken photos for everyone.
If anyone is related to one of my family members and would like to contribute information or photos to the memorial, please send me a message!
I don't like to add maiden names to memorials of those who may have living children, as it's a security issue with banking and identification, so if anyone catches that on a memorial, please contact me and I'll remove it.

|Billie Taylor||Date of Birth|
Memorial 87228304 indicates Abigail Smith & John Adams were both underage when married & had written consent of their fathers. All records indicate Abigail was born 1632 which would have made her 25. Birth date must be incorrect.
|Cindy Lacey||Gen. John Lacey #16665256|
I am married to the Lacey Family. We are related to Gen John Lacey #16665256 and you had a note on what you thought was his Mother #97368773 Jane Lacey. Did you find any more information on her or other family members there? I am still looking for John's Wife, his Father or any other Family members. How do we find more information from the micro film or can you help me find more information.
|Genevieve||Mary Shourds Pettit|
You are welcome, regarding her maiden name. If I come across anything else, I will certainly let you know. As a result of my research, though, I realized that she was proabably not my ancestor. Apparently several Jonathan Pettits lived in the same general region in about the same age and time, and Mary Shourds was married to one of them -- but not to "my" Jonathan Pettit.
|Susan Lacy||Thank you!|
Thank you for all of your work. Daniel Somers Lacy sr. was my
3rd great grandfather, through Mark Leeds Lacy Jr. I'd love to see some of the photos that have been posted someday…….
|Joyce K.||Where Thomas Leeds Came From|
Thomas lived with his family Stansted, Mountfitchet, Essex, England prior to coming to America. I have a copy of the baptisms of his sons Daniel and Thomas in St. Mary the Virgin Church, now kept as a historical landmark, and St. John the Evangelist is now the parish church. Thomas and wife Mary were cited in court records of Essex Assizes Court where they were named Quakers (we know they became Quakers prior to arriving in Burlington) for missing church more than 4 Sundays in a row. Also there is a record in the same Court confirming Thomas paid 6 shillings toward bridge repair in that parish.

|Joyce K.||Re: Thomas Leeds Marriage to Margaret Collier|
As further proof Margaret Collier was the 2nd wife of Thomas Leeds, Sr. and not Thomas Leeds, Jr. is the court case between Thomas' son William and his step mother, Margaret:
By his Will proven on Nov. 28, 1687 he devised all his houses and lands in Shrewsbury, NJ to his loving wife, Margaret, during her life and after her death to his sons, Daniel and William. He appointed his wife Executrix, but Letters of Administration were granted to his son William of Middletown on Dec. 2, 1687 and his wife Margaret on Dec. 12, 1687. According to a court record dated Dec 13, 1687 Margaret Leeds, widow of Thomas was named a Defendant in an action of trespass and debt for 16 pounds by William Leeds Plaintiff..
Margaret must have subsequently moved to Philadelphia, Pa. as that is where her death is recorded on Sept. 18, 1703

|Janet Kilz-Sorrentino||RE: More on Joseph Gaunt|
as i continue my ancestry search and come upon some opened supporting documents, I'll get back to you with specifics so you can make any necessary changes if need be. I haven't yet paid for that opening of docs, yet there seems to be some waiting hints. thank you
My name is Carole Alden and I go by that name. I only come up with one page when I look for a Joslin match for the AncestryDNA test. What name are you using?
