A reason to work on family history:|
"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord . . . And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse."
A reason to volunteer on Find A Grave:
"And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God."
I am not doing this for any self-righteous purpose, but only for the reasons listed above.
In fairness to those who may have closer ties to a memorial, please read the Transfer Guidelines prior to requesting a transfer. You do not need to "manage" every memorial that is part of your family tree. Remember that this site is for locating burials, not building a tree. There are other websites that are more suited for that purpose. I will be happy to make any links and corrections. PLEASE use the SAC feature ("Edit" tab). Please feel free to add photos where appropriate, as you do not need to manage the memorial to add photos.
Please consider using the "virtual cemetery" feature on this site to keep track of relations.
Since March 2013 I have taken over management of memorials in Inglewood Park Cemetery from Chris Mills. Please continue to send suggestions for corrections using the "Edit" tab and I will get to them as soon as I can.

B.J.-Thank you so much for the gravestone photos on the Shipley Family. It was nice to see the family together. Also I so appreciate the memorials that you setup for John M. Shipley and Dean Cole Shipley. You did give me a mystery to solve. I need to figure out who Christos Apallas is. So great to have volunteers like you.

Thank you so much for taking your time to get this photo of Lucille's stone. We have looked for her for over 12 years and just found her Monday. We did not know her first name. Thanks again.

Thanks for your efforts Bonnie, I guess I will have to expand the search.
|Chris||RE: Helen Showalter|
Hi Bonnie - you work fast! Helen Aument Showalter was the daughter-in-law of Abraham Showalter whom you mention in the photo caption. She was married to Abraham's son Glenn Archie Showalter. Glenn died in Colorado in 1980 but I don't know where he is buried.
I do not need/want this memorial as I am a distant relative, but am always happy to take transfers when the original creator has no interest in keeping them :-)
I don't see a contact for "Heidi", but you may give her my email address: email@example.com

Hello B. J.,
My name is Keith Lawrence Find A Grave Member # 47023459,
I found your memorial to Pauline M. Dedrick B: June 27, 1907, D: April 29, 1987. Buried at Inglewood Park Cemetery in Los Angeles County, California.
I was wondering if you could tell me, do you know if Pauline is buried next to her husband, Ruterford Benjamin Dedrick, according to my records, he died on September 18, 1962.
I am trying to locate where Rutherford B. Dedrick is buried?
