Bio and Links
Bio Photo Carol and I have been searching our families' history for a while and have uncovered fascinating facts (and rumors) about both our families.

We are searching mostly in Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Nebraska, although our histories are spread all over the south and midwest. We are searching for the Mitchell, Daley, Chester, Ellsworth, Johnson and Meyer families and would welcome any information or requests for information from fellow searchers.

In the meantime, keep those records coming in to FindAGrave and help us all find out where we came from -- and where we're going.

Thanks, Mac and Carol

RE: Uncle Huck
No relation; I just came across these obits that I had collected (I hate to say almost 20 years ago), and want to long these in before throwing them away. I'll try sending again this morning.

Uncle Huck
It's small, about 3-4" in length; no photo. I just tried to send to you via email. Let me know if you didn't get it, and I'll try again.

J C McClung
This is the note from my cousin. "Yes, we saw one for him. It is in the same area as the other McClung graves, but right behind them, I think."
I'm still on the hunt before I delete his entry in Rose Hill Cemetery.

McClung plots
Thanks for posting the pictures. I really appreciate it--now, if I can solve the case of J. C. McClung. I am wondering now if he and Ella were divorced and she was buried close to her infant son in Merkel rather than buried next to J. C. in Fisher County.

J C McClung
Mac, thanks for looking. My cousins had reported that there was a tombstone for him in Rose Hill that was near his two wives and two infants and that the tombstone looked almost identical to the one that I had located in Fisher County. I wonder why his second wife was buried in Merkel several years after his death. Their daughter is buried in Fisher County. The tombstone in Fisher County has Father etched on it and the identical tombstone in Rose Hill for the second wife has Mother etched on it. Another genealogy mystery.
Thanks for your time.

J C McClung
Mac,
According to my records, J C McClung is buried in Rose Hill cemetery and should be located close to the graves of Ella McClung (2nd wife) and M McClung (1st wife) and two young children--one by each of the named wives. Would it be possible for you to take a picture of that tombstone for me? There is no site listed for him, but I have been told by relatives that there is a tombstone.
