I have been active in researching my family genealogy since about 2003. That interest as led to many personal family cemetery hunts (mostly in Illinois, Chicago area and mid-state), and a general appreciation for cemeteries in general. |
I've benefited from the help of others here and am always happy to try and return the favor by getting a volunteer photo from cemeteries near my home.

Thank you so much for the fast responce. She's not related, she was born in the house we live in and we just wanted to put the family members together. Thanks again for the help.

Dear Chris, Thanks for making the effort at photographing the tombstones of Victor Champ, his wife and children. His wife had a short, thick, stone which was almost illegible back in the 1980's the way I remember. It had some gates carved, probably Heaven's Gates, at the botton front of the stone. I would be interested in seeing what you found around Victor's grave. He and his family are buried in Peen Ridge Cemetery. Thanks for all you are doing. Baxter

Thank you so much for transfering the Corliss and Minard families memorials over to me.

That would be great. Could you please transfer Nettie G. Shumway Minard and Norman J. Minard memorials to me. I am also related to a Corliss family, but I am not sure whether it is the same Corliss family in that cemetery. Thank you for making the memorials.
|Julie Crum Mattson||Stoltz|
I claimed your Stoltz photo request, but I was unable to find Samuel. It seemed I found everyone else. There was one large Stoltz headstone...about 6 feet, with Margaret on it, but I couldn't see any other engravings on it. I would be more than happy to email you all the Stoltz pics I got. The Stoltz plot itself was at the far north corner of the Cem and it is very overgrown back in there. I even found several that were really buried. I had such an awesome time! Wanted to go back but then it snowed. Email me back about the pics.

I added a 2nd picture of this stone per someone else's request. It was taken today (10-27-11) but doesn't seem to have any changes from your earlier pic. If you would like me to delete mine, just let me know.

Thank you for the photo of Edith Burkhalters stone at Maqoun Cemetery. It really helps to have these photos as we 'grow our family tree.
