Thank you for all your work. I have run into a few of them lately. It is all good, most I have seen are because someone took the time to add an entire cemetery and I will NEVER complain about that. Thanks again.

Hope someone gets a photo for you!

Elmira Brown (aka: Sarah) had five children by James "Jim" Miller and they were never married.
Her sister Elizabeth Brown married Richard "Dick" Miller.

I forgot to mention on left side of entry is a map layout of cemetery

Sorry, just now read email, hope you get this. Going east on 180 about 2 miles on right (south side) will be Mount Hope. There is an entrance midway in cemetery. Going through the entrance the first section on left is Block 12. Turn immediately to the left after entering entrance. Go to the 4th driving lane turning right. The graves should be about halfway down the lane on the right.

|John Gavin, FL||Slatten family|
I see that you have traced the Slatten name to Virginia. The name is known to be spelled various ways, including Sladden, Slayden and Sladon.
I've discovered the Slayden family of Virginia in my bloodline, near Louisa or Goochland counties of the late 1790's. William Slayden, a landowner there was father of Mary Slayden, wife of William Powers and mother of James Powers, father of Sarah Powers O'Connor, who is mother of Mary O'Connor who is my great grandmother. Mary Slayden Powers died about 1799-1800 before the family moved out of central Virginia.
Let me know if you have traced your family name beyond the late 1790's as I am stuck there and could use some hints in order to continue my research.
Have you seen www.trevilians.com that contains county records from Louisa county, VA and surroundings?

I'm doing well and hope you are the same.
In answer to your question concerning Lucinda and her 2 infants if you will notice in the 1910 Census she stated she was the mother of 6 children altogether with only one surviving in 1910. In the 1970's at Clayton Genealogical Library I found this record:
"Cemetery name is from "Claiborne County: The Promised Land", 1976, Katy McCaleb Headley. p. 266-267. The reference provides descriptions of 10 tombstones, however as of Mar 2010 only 2 could be located. Pieces of other stones and vaults remain in an area that has had heavy logging alongside it. Those graves listed in the reference are listed in this cemetery with no photo."
I think the two infants are also buried in this cemetery because it makes sense.
Thanks for going there because I never got the chance. Unforunately many old cemeteries are abandoned and forgotten.

You're quite welcome, Kevin. I also did photo requests for Thomas Brown and Dennis Reece today at Mozley Memorial Gardens. Good thing that I did it around 1pm because 2 hours later it started raining. I know its hard typing on a phone.
