I've been doing serious genealogy for 33 years and have collected an enormous amount of material that I have made available on my numerous web pages and my rootsweb database. |
Some of the names I'm researching are Willard, VonAllmen, Jolliff, Heral/Harrold, Colyott, Huddleston, Baty, Lindesmith, Pease, Johnson, Metcalf, Spurlock, Estes, Casey, Momenteller, Wright (in the US). And my husband's lines: Freeman, Webster, Mapp, Shaw (in Canada & England). I have most of the info I've found on these families at my website.
Just in the last 4 years I have gotten interested in Find-a-Grave and I love the possibilities it offers. I have been trying to get a lot of the information I have up on these pages, whether they are mine or not. I'm not trying to amass 30,000 memorials--though I genuinely appreciate those who have contributed so much in this way! Most of the time I spend on this site is helping other people make links, add information, and add pictures to their pages.
If you are more closely related to the people I have pages for, or have more information, I'm usually happy to transfer a memorial--UNLESS you are one who doesn't do transfers to other people, or who only transfers within FAG guidelines.
You are welcome to use any of my photos. I don't believe that old pictures "belong" to anyone.

Mary Jo, I have linked father/son as requested. Would you like for me to transfer this memorial to you?

Hi Mary Jo,
I noticed your comment about my grandma. It is correct up to a point. After her first husband died in 1915, she did move home with her parents. However, in 1925, she married her cousin, Anson McMurtrey. That is why her name became McMurtrey again. I think he died about 1939. I thought I remembered seeing a picture of their stone where they were buried together, but I will have to research it more. I know they were living in Idaho when he died.
|Shelia Kramer||William M. Casey|
The Elmwood (Centralia, IL)Cemetery records show William M. Casey is buried there, Lot 18 Range 18 Grave 3. Born 12-15-1825, died 3-7-1898. Also, Dempsey Casey Lot 18 Range 18 Grave 1, Mary H. Grave 2, William M. Grave 3, and Alice Grave 4. With Imogene Church-Casey buried Lot 18 Range 19 Grave 8.
Do you have the Pheasant Grove docs so we can compare.

Thank you for taking the time to send the obituary information on Thomas Young Huddleston. I added it to his memorial.

hi again- photographer confirms her tombstone says she died March 3, 1901 at age 40 years 10 months 27 days. I note the owner of her memorial is not responding to multiple requests to update memorials so perhaps she is no longer active? You must be related- perhaps you can get findagrave to transfer her to you so you can update the memorial?
|Jan Dahlquist||Laura Benton Willard|
great photos! I have sent update info to the owner of her memorial (did it too in January with no response) . Question- she is found as age 1 month on the 1860 census and her age on each census record after that agreees with birh 1860- 1900 census says born April 1860- so how did the year of birth get so mixed up?
