Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my own genealogy for the last 12 years. My son got me interested when one day he asked me who our oldest relative was. I could only tell him my maternal Great Grandmother who was born in 1889. I didn't know where she was born, who her parents were. I only knew her 2 daughters.

This is what started me on my ancestral journey and it has been exciting to find out info on all my relatives I had never known. :)

RE: Campbell family
Hi Donna,

Thanks for the obituary. After looking at it, I think the family is right, but I do not believe Ruth Margaret Campbell belongs to this family. I am going to try an attach a PDF file of Barbara (Bass) Schroeder's tree. Check out the information at the bottom of it regarding the Campbell line.

Thanks,
Lloyd

P.S. It will not allow me to insert or attach a file. If you could send me your email address, I will provide you with a copy. You can email me at: llncstr@yahoo.com

RE: Patrick Campbell
My uncle (Lyle Bass) was married to Muriel Wood, daughter of Roy Percy Wood & Alfretta Vaughn. Muriel's brother, Ernest Leroy Wood married Verna Rose Kunkel. Verna was the daughter of Herman Kunkel and Ruth Campbell. Ruth, in turn, was the daughter of Patrick Campbell and Catherine McDonald.

My uncle Lyle had two (2) daughters with Muriel (his first wife) and one of them (Barbara Jeanne Bass) has asked me to update our tree with as much information about her heritage as I can. Hope that helps.

RE: Patrick Campbell
Hi,

I am not directly related, but Patrick appears in the tree I maintain through my uncle (Wood/Kunkel line).

Frank Hufnagle # 15568614
Donna, Just found Frank in the Penn Death Certificate Index, under George F. Hoofnagle, died Dec 5, 1929 in Nescopeck. Now do we have the right Pine Grove Cemetery, I cant imagine him not buried with wife Carrie Caroline Rupert Hufnagle in Pine Grove in Berwick, Col Co right over the river from their home in Nescopeck. Frank Hufnagle # 15568614
Dear Donna, Frank Hufnagle F.A.G. # 15568614 who is buried in Pine Grove Cemetery, Harveyville, Luzerne Co.
1. There is no Frank ( George Franklin Hufnagle) or George Hufnagle in the 1929 Penn Death Certificate index, except a George W. Hufnagle who died in Phila in July. I have tried under various spellings.
Is your memorial for the Frank Hufnagle from a cemetery book ?
I do have a George Franklin " Frank" Hufnagle in my family, and he was married to Carrie Caroline Rupert Hufnagle. She is buried in Pine Grove Cemetery in Berwick, Col Co. which is a stones throw from Nescopeck, Luz Co where they lived. I was hoping this was my Frank Hufnagle , but just not sure without the Death Certificate. Carrie C.

RE: Lathan Jones
Hi Donna,

I'm quite sure about the spelling and the parents, which are documented in several internet sources and old genealogy books, like Denison Genealogy by E. Glenn Denison (1963). In that book, Latham Jones is entry 1812, found as a child on p. 62 and as a parent on p. 447. His mother's grandmother was Lucy (Latham) Avery, and Latham (not Lathan) was a common name among the Stonington, Conn families from which he came.

His mother Asaneth (Denison) Jones was my 5th great aunt, and the Jones family married Denisons multiple times, so I have several connections with the Jones as well. In fact, my mother's maiden name and my middle name are Denison.

Thanks for your help.

Marilyn Smith
Smithharts
Have found a couple of other people who show Evan Smithhart in their online trees at Ancestry as DNA matches for another person, who contacted me.

Have you considered doing a Ancestry.com DNA test for yourself?
