Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and still very near
***************************************
.You walked the golden stairway, you touched the stars and moon, now all we have are memories...the angels came too soon.
************************** ~ TO REMEMBER~ IS TO GIVE LIFE TO THOSE WE'VE LOVED ~AND LOST~ **************************
Any photos we have taken may be used by those who requested them, and other people who want to use them on their family trees , etc. After all, that's what this site is about, honoring the memories of Loved Ones and connecting Families. Also, if anyone wants to use any poems I've posted, please feel free to do so,that's why they're posted here, to share.
**************************
So far , our memorials are for people related to us in our Family Tree, or friends and co-workers, also some local citizens. We appreciate flowers and any information, photos or any corrections for our memorials. If anyone wants a transfer, let us know, but remember, some of these people are relatives to us, too. ************************** "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path...and leave a trail." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson ~

Courage is not the lack of fear-it's acting in spite of it. - Mark Twain
************************************************ Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty,well- preserved body, but rather to slide in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming..."WOW !!! WHAT A RIDE!!!" ************************** There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness but of power. They are messengers of overwhelming grief and of unspeakable love - Washington Irving ************************** And another wise saying I saw on this site:

In Honor of Fallen Police Officers:
Somebody killed a policeman today And a part of America died...A piece of our country he swore to protect Will be buried with him at his side. The beat that he walked was a battlefield, too, Just as if he had gone off to war; Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half-mast To his name they will add a gold star. The suspect that shot him will stand up in court With counsel demanding his rights, While a young widowed mother must work for her kids And spend many long, lonely nights. Yes, somebody killed a policeman today... Maybe in your town or mine, While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors A cop put his life on the line. Now his ghost walks the beat on a dark city street, And he stands at each new rookie's side;He answered the call... of himself gave his all, And a part of America died...

Do not stand there at my grave and weep; I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand there at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die. --Gwydion
************************** I love The Old West, so I am posting this poem I found here at FindAGrave.
~A Cowboy's Prayer~
Oh Lord, I've never lived where churches grow. I loved creation better as it stood That day You finished it so long ago And looked upon Your work and called it good.
I know that others find You in the light That's sifted down through tinted window panes, And yet I seem to feel You near tonight In this dim, quiet starlight on the plains.
I thank You, Lord, that I am placed so well, That You have made my freedom so complete; That I'm no slave of whistle, clock or bell, Nor weak-eyed prisoner of wall and street,
Just let me live my life as I've begun And give me work that's open to the sky; Make me a pardner of the wind and sun, And I won't ask a life that's soft or high.
Let me be easy on the man that's down; Let me be square and generous with all. I'm careless sometimes, Lord, when I'm in town, But never let 'em say I'm mean or small!
Make me as big and open as the plains, As honest as the hawse between my knees, Clean as the wind that blows behind the rains, Free as the hawk that circles down the breeze!
Forgive me, Lord, if sometimes I forget. You know about the reasons that are hid. You understand the things that gall and fret; You know me better than my mother did.
Just keep an eye on all that's done and said And right me, sometimes, when I turn aside, And guide me down the long, dim trail ahead That stretches upward toward the Great Divide.

LOVING MEMORIES
Your gentle face and patient smile With sadness we recall You had a kindly word for each And died beloved by all.
The voice is mute and stills the heart, That loved us well and true, Ah, bitter was the trial to part From one so good as you.
You are not forgotten loved one, Nor will you ever be, As long as life and memory last We will remember thee.
We miss you now our hearts are sore, As times go by we miss you more, Your loving smile, your gentle face, No one can fill your vacant place

 | Clark Hello Mellie !
I noticed the note you left for Billie McKinney Clark that you told her to tell Aunt Ethel hello. Would that be Ethel Risley Clark, who married David Edward Clark ? If so I would like to contact you. I will give you my email address. | | | Dave Young
 | Joseph Bayliss Joseph Bayliss was my 4th great grand uncle - do you have any information on his heritage? I have nothing further than John Bayliss, Sr. and some Andrews connections I'm not 100% sure about.
Thanks! | | | Melanie (Ross) Brady
 | How are you? Thank you for responding back. Did you live nearby? We all miss her very much. Believe it or not, I never met my sister-in-law in person...only when she would call we would say hi to each other.
I know that the rest of the family miss her so much. See, my in-laws had 5 children. Donald, Donna, Mary, Thomas and John. I am married to the baby of the family which is John. My husband, sister-in-law Donna and brother-in-law Donald are what are left for my mother-in-law.
Thomas died from cancer back in 1995. Mary was murdered in 2008 and shortly after, they lost their dad from cancer Jan. 2011. | | | Melanie (Ross) Brady
