I have always loved to visit cemeteries and thought it was a little weird until I found this website. Visiting a cemetary satisfies many of my favorite hobbies: plants ( Whenever I go, I walk around watering plants that people leave for their loved ones but are unable to come back and take care of), photography, and history. I especially like to visit old cemeteries to take pictures of the elaborate monuments. I'm really happy to discover there are thousands of you out there that feel the same.
I try to put as much information as I can find on the internet with each memorial and also try to include the source. Feel free to use any pictures of headstones and grave markers that I have uploaded on your family websites or Ancestry,com.

Thank you Sonia for adding the photos of Dario and Rose Larcher's grave stones. The Larcher family are ancestors of my husbands paternal grandmother. Since I no longer live in IL I really appreciate this. If you have never been there another interesting cemetery to visit is Calvary in Evanston. I have been there many times to gather info. on my Irish ancestors. Thanks again.

thanks for the transfer. i just looked and didnt see the leschers in find a grave--i'm sorry about that. i already have a picture of their grave from when i was there last week so i will post it when i figure out how to get it off my phone lol
