I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I enjoy photographing tombstones for FindAGrave. I have even been known to dig stones out of the ground. :)|
I do not consider my photographs "copyrighted". I post them for the sole purpose of helping other genealogists in their family research. However, if you post the photos on ancestry or another website, photo credit would be appreciated. :)
My goal is not to impress others by high numbers. I create many memorials just so they are documented, and try to add pertinent information to them. I'm more than willing to transfer these memorials to someone who can take better care of them, as long as they are not my relatives.
Surnames I am researching: Solomon-Haberman (Jennings Co. IN & Saline Co. MO); Stoneking-Livingston-Long (Greene Co. PA & Tyler Co. WV); Wagaman-Turner (Missouri, Kansas, Washington); Pannekoek-DeVoogd-Waterloo (Kent Co. MI); LePard-Densmore (Kent, Ionia & Barry Co., MI); Kirby-Payne (Howard Co. MO); Riggle-Guist-Ortz (PA & OH).

Thank you so much for the photo of the headstone of the husband of my 3G grandmother! My daughter and I searched for a long time when we were there about 7 years ago and never did find it.

Hello.. From the info available I would say Mr. Pennington is her Step-father.

Thank you very much for adding the additional information to her memorial. It was also kind of you to post my name and contributor number but that is not necessary. This is a collaborative site where we all work together! ;)

Thanks so much for the photo of my wife's great grandfather's grave at Greenwood Cemetery. I was surprised to see the notation that Seward's engraving is on the opposite side of the same stone as her parents! We were at the funeral of her mother a few months ago, and never realized the other side of the stone was engraved, too. Thanks for your efforts!

Thank you Kathy for the awesome photos you posted and sent me of John & Selma Fountain. They are very hard to read due to mold or meldew. I've noticed lots of tombstones in Grand Rapids have the same problem. Was wondering in the Cemetery or anyone cleans these stones? Also noticed John's stone says b. 1873, but familysearch b. & d. records say September 2, 1874. Thank you fore your effort and awesome photos.
|Laurie Foster||How can we update relatives information?|
Several family members names are missing under relative's . How can we update them?
Thank you very much for the transfer of Clarence Worst. I will link him to his father, you may find interesting.
