I began researching my family in about 2005. Some of the Surnames are McCraney, Williamson, Lott, Brock, Lakey, Smith and Jones. I grew up in Polk Co., TX and discovered most of my ancestors came by way of Mississippi or Alabama. Thanks to the people who share their information, I have been able to find an amazing amount on the Internet. The research can become addictive and never ending; there is always more to the story. It is not my intent to offend anyone. If I have posted information that you want removed…please ask.|
Mistakes are inevitable so if you find any, let me know using the EDIT tab on that memorial page.
When asking for a memorial update or a memorial to be transferred to you, PLEASE use "EDIT" then "SUGGEST A CORRECTION" instead of posting message's.
When I post a memorial the information is basically from the tombstone with little research. While I appreciate information provided by others, I will not post it if you are not willing to let me use your FAG identity. I do not mind giving credit, but my primary reason is that if the information is questioned I know where I got the information. In most cases I will be happy to transfer the memorial to you.
Please feel free to use with acknowledgement any photograph I have taken for your own personal family tree use.

I'm the great-great grandson of William & Catherine Smith buried at the Oates Cemetery. Thank you so much for the work you have done. It has helped me immensely in working on our family's genealogy.

Thank you so much for making all of the changes on my family, and for all the work you do in findagrave. It means so much to others that do genealogy and do not know their family history, if they look on these pages Thank you for your time and effort that you make.

Virginia, it's probably because I don't know what I'm doing, but when I try to put in the latidude, etc. it always comes up and says I have to add ddd.ddd, etc. which I have done. It won't save change.

Thank you for the info. I moved him and linked him to his wife today. I've also notified the creator of her memorial page that her maiden name was Lowe.
