My name is Brenda (Boyer) Kohr. My husband, Pete, and I are researching his side of the family (Kohr/Smith)&(Minnich/Buxton), as well as my own (Boyer/Grimes)&(Beil/Shott). We are not trying to see how many memorials we can amass so that we can have our numbers posted in the "Top Contributors" catagory. We want to make memorials to pay tribute to our families and friends and hopefully help others to find theirs.|
We enjoy helping others by photographing grave markers. There are times that we may photograph markers that are near the ones we were asked to take photos of, or if we see one with our surnames. If there is no memorial for these extra photos that we take....I create one. If by chance I happen to create a memorial for a relative or a friend of yours don't hesitate to ask for a transfer. I don't feel the need to keep memorials that I have created. (unless they are family) I only created them so that someone may find a member of their family or a friend. Guidelines (and that is all they are) and numbers mean nothing....families are what is important. If people asking for out of guideline transfers has caused a problem for you.....stop making memorials. Problem solved!!
Guidelines....not rules, not regulations, not laws....not even an eleventh commandment.
NOTE: - GUIDELINES ....definition of...
A guideline is a statement by which to determine a course of action. By definition, following a guideline is never mandatory. Guidelines are NOT binding.
Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so
I wonder if you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you
Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

In my excitement over the transfer, I hadn't noticed that you had added the obituary to Elizabeth Sprigg's memorial. Thank you for going the extra mile to find that and add it before the transfer! That's extra special. Sheila

Thank you so very much for the transfer of Elizabeth Sprigg! The discovery of her whereabouts is one of the best finds in my tree in a long time. Thanks again! Sheila

Thank you so much for the photos of the gravestones of George and Charles Sprigg! I am thrilled that you also found Elizabeth Sprigg (137434953)! I have been looking for her for years in cemeteries in Baltimore because that's where she was living when she died. I would be so grateful if you would please transfer her to me (46614496). Thanks again, Sheila
Thanks very much for confirming Elton's place of rest. I sent a SAC in wife Pearl's maiden name to you. Have a good one.

Will fix, thanks

Dear Brenda and Pete,
Regarding the mistaken photo of Winfield M Frey
It appears that y'all have the correct photo for that Winfield M Frey (1911-1990). But I think who created this memorial for Winfield M Frey has the wrong dates. This Winfield M Frey should have been dated (1877-1908). That is why I placed the photo I had here. Plus, his wife, Margaret E Frey (dated 1875-1948) is on the same headstone.
It just seems that the dates are way off for someone born in 1911 (the photo y'all have of Winfield M Frey) to be married to someone born in 1875 (Margaret E Frey). That's a 36 year difference in ages.
I have a sneaky suspicion the Winfield M Frey (dated 1911-1990) belongs to some other memorial. I will try to find where he belongs and get back with you. And in the meantime, as you requested, I have removed the photo I had until I can figure this puzzle out!
Thank you so much for letting me know this discrepancy in dates!

Do you remember where you found Elizabeth's stone in the cemetery?
