A ninth generation American, I've always found cemeteries interesting, peaceful and relaxing. Please notify me if I've made a mistake on any memorials I post. No one is perfect, least of all me. I will not respond to rude and disrespectful demands. If I have a photo of a headstone that is better than the one already posted, I will post my photo. I do not post to "build my numbers". I will not revisit cemeteries and retake photos that have my shadow on them. |
I am a Find a Grave volunteer because I enjoy visiting cemeteries recording the history of those who have gone before us so as to be of a benefit of those who cannot visit the cemeteries in person to pay their respects. Be nice.
Have a great day!

Hi! You have a photo for Claude Hughes, Find A Grave Memorial# 38957673.
Have added his wife, Hester tonight. She is Find A Grave Memorial# 151376679.
Would you be so kind as to copy the gravestone photo from Claude to Hester?

I am researching information on Joseph Tipton 1796-1880 and his wife Sarah Anna Bennett. I found their grave on this site which has lead me to you. I can not find any source for this information. Please help guide me in the direction for source information on my 3rd great grand parents.

I attended a " Bailey " reunion several years ago in Burnsville, NC...Dr. Lloyd Bailey took the group to the gravesite of Ancillary Bailey, John's father. I don't remember exactly where it was but it was near Burnsville, a single gravesite, I think... Lloyd could help you locate it, and might provide pics, if interested... Thanks for a good site... John was my 3-great gramps ..."Polly " Bailey was my g-gramma...Ancil then John..

The picture is there. At the top of the memorial you will see a TAB that says photos. Click on it and it will take you to a photo. At the top you will see very small "thumbnail" photos. The last two are the photos I took- one of the family marker and one of David's flat in ground marker.. When there are so many photos posted, they cannot all be displayed at one time.

Let me start by saying thank you for your photo work. This will save me a great deal of time as I plan to post a great many graves on Find A Grave. Many of the graves have no tombstone for one reason or another. I hope that we can work together to resolve the issues of graves being incorrectly listed. While I wish to have the information as correct as possible, I do wish to see you get credit for your work.
As to photographing two cemeteries, both churches are on the right, both just after the bridge-tunnel, one is brick, the other is frame. I think that if you look closely at your photos you will be able to make out a dividing line between the two.
|Melissa Mariano||RE: Elizabeth Donley|
Also-just added 4 more Donleys to Green Mount Cem this morning. It's a shared headstone-most likely infants and/or young children located just a few feet over from your George & Eliza. Based on the year(s) listed and the physical location of the headstone it's likely that they are their children. If you have any additional info please let me know. The names are: Esther, Mary, Caroline & William Donley.
