|Dave & Joyce Humphrey||Taylor edits|
You may notice on your 'Edit Tab' on your profile page that I have some edits pending for you pertaining to the Taylor family, who are relations of mine. I had made a mistake when I first sent an edit to you, so when you approve the ones that are pending, it will clear up the error(s). Thanks!
Thank you for the update and for all of your work in maintaining these memorials. Best wishes to you in your work here at Find a Grave.
I am on deep sea fishing jaunt and have hit bottom. My Ancestor was Jacob McCauley born 1797 in (Union county) PA died 1869 Stephenson, IL It is thought his father was John born abt 1760 in PA ; lived and died in PA Mother Catherine Frye. John had two wives, the second one is not known. He had children by both wives: Alexander, Thomas, William, Jacob, James and Nancy. (there were probably more children) Have been unable to prove John and Catherine; Was wondering about the John and wife Nancy at the Old German Cmty in Westmoreland, PA. Our Jacob had a Jacob, Levi, Sarah,Eliza, David, Thomas, James Robert, Aaron B, Shedrach and William. Jacob married a Deborah Stemm (Stamm)When they arrived in Stephenson county, IL they were taken into the Church of the Brethern at Waddams Grove near Lena. If you can shed any light (or definite negatives) on John and his wives would greatly appreciate it. Both a distant cousin and myself have been digging for several years and getting nowhere. We both live in the mid west. K
|BOB SMELTZER||PARMELLA SMITH|
THE PROPER DATE FOR HER DEATH IS NOV14 1888 NOT NOV 18 AS I LISTED BEFORE
|BOB SMELTZER||PARMELLA SMITH|
I HAVE REASON TO BELIEVE THIS PERSON WAS MARRIED TO MY GREAT GRANDFATHER JACOB P SMITH I WAS CUROUS TO KNOW HER MAIDEN NAME I HAD THE NAME HEIDE BUT IT COULD BE HILE HYLE HEIL HEYL AS IN THE NAMES YOU HAVE IN YOUR PROFILE I HAVE OTHER EVIDENCE OF MY GREAT GRANDMOTHERS DEATH BEING NOV 18 1888 PARMELLA BEING BURIED IN THE OLD GERMAN CEMETARY MAKES SENSE BECAUSE JACOB LIVED A MILE FROM THERE BOB SMELTZER
|Dave & Joyce Humphrey||Clifford Taylor's mother|
The edit in your 'Edit Tab' that I sent you for Clifford Taylor at Franklin Square Cemetery is proved out by the obituary for his mother, Maxine Lee Duncan Holma (FindAGrave #110313995).
Even though her obit and tombstone do not list the Taylor name anywhere, except mentioning her sons....

Would you be willing to add your 2 photos of the Westmoreland County Home Cemetery to the Find A Grave entry for Mary Ann Kelly #134341159? We do not have any family photos of her which makes the page quite plain.
We do have the death certificate (10577) but are reluctant to scan it.

I recently uploaded a photo for John Zimmerman at the Greenlawn cemetery in Mahoning County, Ohio after fulfilling a request for the (shared) marker of his wife. I noticed that his memorial page says his death was in 1844 but it appears that his stone reads 1884. I want to make sure that I didn't upload the wrong person. Can you double check the photos to see if I matched them up with the correct person? Thanks!

How did you determine that Hettie Harkins b 1823 d Oct 1882 was buried in this cemetery ? She would be my great-great grandmother and married to a Charles R Harkins b 1823 d aft 1898, I realize that he could not have been buried there.
|Richard Simpson||RE: Ballew|
Thank you for your response.
Wayne Walter Ballew was born on 16 Nov 1918 in Armbrust, PA. He died in Feb 1982, in Westmoreland County. I am been unable to nail anything more specific about his death at this time.
Hope this helps...
Richard McClelland Simpson, III
