Bio Photo I am a native Texan; my interest in cemeteries was established many years ago when I began researching our family tree. My roots go deep in Dallas where my ancestors help found the City. I am very glad to be a contributor and volunteer for Find a Grave as it gives peace of mind to those who might not know where their loved ones' final resting place might be. It also provides another information source for others researching their family trees that might otherwise have difficulty backing up what they already thought to be true. I feel that no one should be forgotten, no matter how long ago they passed away.

I began by entering mostly memorials for family members. However, my husband & I recently started exploring various cemeteries in our area. We began adding those that were not in the system thus far as well as taking pictures of headstones for memorials that were in, but had no photos attached to them. We also fulfill as many photo requests as possible. I begin our projects by printing out everyone that is buried in a particular cemetery, putting the list in a 3-ring binder, using stick on tabs to alphabetize them, highlighting the ones that need photos, and setting out to explore.

If you would like one of the memorials transferred to you, please use the "Edit" button so that I may respond as quickly as possible. I understand there has to be guidelines for transfers. However, I feel there are various reasons why it is not always feasible to follow the strict guidelines of "only direct descendants". I feel that a family member(regardless of whether a DIRECT descendant) who has photos and additional information and would like the privilege of managing a memorial I have set up (if I am not related to that person), deserves that privilege. Yes, I said "privilege" as I believe it should be about linking families not paying attention to the "numbers". I want to help as many people as possible to get into the system where they can be located by a family member. All that I ask is: If I transfer a memorial to you outside the "direct descendant" guideline, that you transfer it to a closer relative within that guideline if they ask it of you. If I can see this becoming a problem, I will have to stick to the strict definition that Find a Grave sets out.

I give my permission for you to use any photo I have posted, for the purpose of genealogy.

If I have posted a photo to a memorial you have set up for one of your family members and you wish it to be removed, please let me know, as it is never my intention to offend or upset anyone with our photos.

Thank you for asking me to add her middle name, Lean, to her memorial. I neglected to see that when the photo of her headstone was added. The correction has been made. Thanks! Cecile

Thank you for the transcription for the marker. I had failed to see that when I received that photo for her grave. I appreciate you sending me that so that I could add it. Thank you!

I certainly appreciate your time and effort in attempting to fill my request. I have created a flower saying where the grave is located but headstone could not be located.

Thank you and Have Happy Spring
