This is a new interest for me and love the detective work involving putting the pieces of historical puzzles back together.|
It has been great to 'meet' other findagrave members, as well as new family and friends, and I really value these wonderful new connections. Thank you to everyone who has worked so hard on this website!
I am related to about 90% of the memorials that I created and/or maintain and like to make them as complete as possible by adding photos, linking relatives and including record info whenever possible. I am not a hoarder and would be happy to transfer any memorials where there is no family relation. I don't care about the findagrave suggested guidelines - family should ideally be with family and it doesn't matter to me if you are a second great-grandson or a niece. I appreciate any additions or corrections anyone may have.
*Please feel free to use any of my gravestone photos, but please contact me first before using any personal family pictures I have posted.

Thank you for your very kind words and you are more than welcome :)
|Judith D||RE: Dana Michaels in Fremont, OH|
Thanks for responding. The Find a Grave guidelines want something in the last name field. You noted in the bio that she was married to a Miller so many would say to put that in the last name. That may or may not be her legal name.
But you also report that she had Michaels for the last name on her death certificate. That is the only last name on the gravestone as well. Personally, I would honor her (apparent) wishes and use Michaels as her last name leaving her maiden name field blank. Your bio tells the story to those who are interested. Using Michaels twice wouldn't be wrong but it is awkward.
So, your choice! :-) Does that help?

I am very disappointed that I cannot find the headstone for this child. The cemetery where he is listed is in poor shape. The headstones are mainly broken, buried, or flat and unreadable. I did find his sister's headstone (Emma), half-buried and next to a broken headstone. The only other stones near there are footstones who do not seem to be related. I took a photo of the broken base stone that is next to Emma, if you would like that. :-/ I am sorry that I couldnt do any better.

I'm sorry, but according to cemetery records, Mae Belle is not buried in Green Hills Memorial Park with George. I have also checked at one other cemetery, Rose Hills in Whitter, CA, and she is not there.
|Carole Whittemore||George Dresslar & Rudolph Fry|

|Joshua Davis||RE: Knox Family|
Thank you for the tip, however, so far as I am aware, I am not related to the Knox family. I do appreciate your thoughtfulness, though. Have a great day!
|William F. "Bill" Peters||RE: Ethyl Simmons|
Sure I'll do that this evening. Give me a couple of days though and I'll go back and see if I can get a better picture along with pictures of the general area. If I do I will also post it on both requests.
|G. G. Shelby||RE: John Wharton and Elsa Gephart|
The cemetery records list her as Elsie E. Whorton, age 76.
DOB-00-00-1863. DOD- 5-24-1939. Place of death was Greenfield, IN and the cause of death is listed as "arterio sclerosis"
Hope this is helpful.
