I'm a retired baseball writer who covered the Big Red Machine and the Louisville Colonels' teams that had Carlton Fisk, Dwight Evans, Ken Brett, Cecil Cooper, Tony Muser, etc. Since retiring on May 10, 1995, I've seen 1,696 pro baseball games through the 2013 season in 153 stadiums in 133 cities. I've also visited 27 presidential gravesites. My favorite cemeteries are Arlington National, Westwood in California and Cave Hill in Louisville. I enjoy the classic movies, the old serials, the old radio shows (Jack Benny, Our Miss Brooks, Suspense), the big bands and Perry Mason, Lucy, Jackie, Columbo, Poirot and Lawrence Welk on TV.

Frank Zupo
What happened to Frank Zupo??

I remembered him because he received a $30,000 Bonus to sign with the Baltimore Oriols when I was only a Freshman at the same high school that he graduated from. How come he only spent 3 years in Baseball and had only a few times at bat?

What is the FULL STORY??

Was he injured or had other problems?

AGAIN, what was the FULL Story?

I tried to send this to you personally at Coonsr@bellsouth.com, but it bounced back, so here is my message on a public forum:

I don't know who the guy at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr TX is, but I found him at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen TX.

MEMORIAL 14003761
Dear Fellow Graver:

I was hoping you might be able to shed some light on a matter I am a bit confused by. I see you created the memorial for Johnny Allen at the cemetery in Greensboro, NC (Forest Lawn). I was wondering what your source may have been for this information? The reason I ask is because my sources indicates he was laid to rest at Memorial Cemetery which is located in St. Petersburg, Florida where he passed away.

Look forward to hearing from you. If you prefer, you can email me at; VeroDiSpirito@cs.com

Thank you.

~Vero

Joe Hague - STL Cardinal
Dear Sir:

Have you any idea what Mr. Hague died from. He was only 50, and I was surprised to learned that he had died some time ago.
