Your identity
In several messages sent this morning I (apparently incorrectly) assumed, from the specificity of Raton-area memorials you've posted, that you must be a relative. After clicking on your biography, I'm writing to relieve you of that burden :-), but also to thank you for the work you've done. I have only passed through the Raton and Cimarron areas, but my dad (Fred Brooks Jr.) grew up there and attended the NM Military Institute before leaving New Mexico for a naval career. He always spoke of those mountains with great affection, even when retired in the flatlands of urban Massachusetts.

Jose Isidoro Abeyta
The children listed of Jose Isidoro Abeyta can't be possibly his. He would be having kids at 8 years old.
His children are Christine Julia Abeyta, Francisco Abeyta, and Martha Abeyta.

Wallace and Ora McClure
Thanks very much for posting infx on Wallace and Ora. They are both the children of my gggrandmother's sister and, as such, are actually sister and brother. They can be seen together on censuses.

Addition to Charles Arthur Cox's memorial
Nancy: Would you please add the following name as a son to the memorial of Charles Arthur Cox:

Clarence Argust Cox
DOB: 25 Aug 1911 Cross Timbers, Hickory County, MO.
DOD: 26 Mar 1986 Kansas City, Jackson County, MO.

Charles was not married to Clarence's mother Della May Berryman, and Clarence grew up not really knowing his dad or his Cox relatives very well. In fact, it has only been in the course of research for this family history that I have discovered that my dad Clarence had 2 half-brothers that he knew nothing about. Unfortunately, Dad had already passed on before I made the discoveries as had his brothers. However, I would like to have him acknowledged on his father's memorial site. Thank you so much for your help.

Thank you again from Pam Farrington

Mann Family
Nancy, I am trying to contact a Julie Gabbett (Mann) who maintains the Peter C. Mann site in Raton, New Mexico. I am an adopted child looking for my family and this Mann family is mine. One of the children of Peter C. Mann (Samuel Mann) is my biological great grandfather. He married Maggie and they had two children, Robert Jackson Mann and Vera Mann who is my fathers mother. I can be contacted at voslerjj@gmail.com

Would you consider transferring George's memorial to me. He is a very distant family member 2nd cousin 4 X's removed. I am currently working on that branch of my family and trying to locate and link the family members. If not, I did sent you an edit request linking his parents to him. Thank you. Tamryn

fairview cemetery.
Nancy;
I am trying to trace the burrial place of that of my grandfather, George Washington DAWSON.
We ordered his death certificate, poor penmanship, prevents us from being able to read of the name of the cemetery, but we think it might be Fairview.
He was born, 09.Mar.1858, Appleton.Knox Co.Illinois. He died at Elizabethtown.Colfax Co.,N.M. on 23.NOV.1939, and was burried on the 25.Nov.1939, in Raton. It appears as if, Carretta, funeral home handled the burrial.Again hard to read.
Is there anyone who might help us find granddad.,
I have set up a find a grave site for George, No.,
107645767,in which a copy of death certificate and his photo has been added.
Thankyou.
Ethel DAWSON Chapman
