***** If you have emailed me and have not heard back, please email me again. I never thought this would happen, but I am getting swamped with emails from FAG and ancestry.com, and I may have mistakenly missed a few emails. *****|
I will gladly transfer memorials to family, no matter the lineage, as well as to friends. :-) Any photo I take is yours. :-)
I have always been drawn to old cemeteries where I read and touch headstones as my way of remembering those who have passed on.
I am forever grateful to the following FAG members:
Janie #47619161, who located numerous documents for me about my great grandmother who died in 1912 and started my family tree on ancestry.com, giving me an incredible jump start on my ancestral research.
Clint Black #47536687, who was instrumental in helping me learn about my Wyoming ancestors from back when Cheyenne was still a territory.
Van Bender #47533106, who brilliantly took photos of all the damaged crypts at Saint Bernard Memorial Gardens after Hurricane Katrina. Without him I would have never known where my dear friend Dianne Agnes Bird May lays peacefully after a horrific death.
Dee #48005787, who went to an incredible amount of work to locate the gravesite of Hung Anh Truong #96905085 in order to be able to photograph his headstone. Hung, a Vietnamese teenager, is considered to be one of the first hate-crime victims in Houston, TX.
Judy H #46977685 who has filled over 30 of my photo requests in Milwaukee, and has even created memorials with photos of my family that I did not realize were buried in Milwaukee, and then transferred the memorials to me. Judy's work provided me with many dates of birth and death I was not able to find on my own.
And those who have transferred memorials of my ancestors to me, filled photo requests for me, and have taken their time to help me along the way.
I have had the privilege of documenting an old forgotten Jewish cemetery in Hallettsville, Texas, that is in deplorable condition, and over 150 graves in a Historic Black cemetery in Colorado County, Texas.

Thank you for your kind words regarding Mr. Felsenthal's memorial. I am of no relation to him. I simply enjoy contributing to the Find-A-Grave site. Regards, Patricia

There is nothing I am following up on, so just work at your own speed.
I did need a new battery for my car, but my car is a 2001 and they said the battery was the original, so it lasted a long time! About a week later my computer acted up, and I ended up getting a new hard drive. It's been an expensive start to the new year. Luckily I have a friend that worked on the computer for me so I saved the expense of transferring files etc. He set up some new software for me too.
I'm looking forward to spring and getting out to some cemeteries again!

Thank you cousin Maurene for adding those photos. I have been so busy at work. I plan to start tracing my family history soon. I will keep in touch.

Good evening Maurene. It's so nice to hear from you. And you are quite welcome, regarding my sending you Mr. White's burial information. I find great joy in assisting my fellow Find A Grave members (especially the nice ones such as yourself) in making memorials as detailed as possible. And I did leave a small token on both Daniel and Clarissa's memorials. It was my pleasure. Take care friend, and I hope we can keep in touch!

|Judy H||RE: Dr Nathan Franklin|
You can always note the discrepancy in his bio. I've seen people do that. Also, just cause it's written in stone, doesn't mean it's right. :)
Jan 1 ended up with a dead car battery. Road service got it fixed, but car wouldn't start today either. Car doesn't like 2014 I guess. Road service scheduled again for tomorrow AM since it was too late to have them tonight.

First Happy New Year!
I was cleaning out some old SAC's and found one for Dr Nathan Franklin at Spring Hill that was never processed. You have birth as Dec 22 and the marker shows Dec 23. You may be still researching it or maybe found that the marker is incorrect. I just wanted to post a reminder and I'll take this request out of my follow up folder.
I'll be waiting until spring to visit Spring Hill again. :)
